POSITION SUMMARY Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation is excited to add Summer Camp Counselors to the team! These temporary, 40-hour per week positions will assist with the operations of summer day camps for kids and/or teens at Eastway Regional Recreation Center. This position will provide direct supervision of campers and assist in planning and directing camp activities, such as athletics, games, arts, and crafts, aquatics, field trips, etc. In addition, the incumbents may also participate in membership promotions, communicate facility policies to patrons and overall customer service management at the facility. The dates of this temporary employment opportunity will include a mandatory orientation, staff training and Summer Camp. Specific dates will be discussed during the interview process, but the selected candidates will be expected to work 40 hours per week during the summer.
