Responsibilities
Serve as the liaison between camp administration, the camp nurse manager, and the volunteer Health Care Team (nurses and EMT's).
Assist with coordinating medication administration (dispensing of medication not allowed), paperwork, and forms.
Collaborating for efficient processes and clear communication among all.
Ability to work with participants of all backgrounds.
Serve as a role model, upholding our camp values, and working with integrity, creativity, and safety in mind always.
Responsible for the health and well-being of the campers mentally, emotionally, and physically, during their time at camp

Area Directors (ADs) provide the first level of management at camp to the team. They are responsible for an Area of Specialty at camp and have several Specialists working for them who teach skills and merit badges.
Instructors act as Merit Badge Counselors and they provide direct teaching to scouts. They are responsible for mastering their course materials and creating a dynamic program for every class they are assigned. All Instructors report to an Area Director.
At Camp Old Indian these Areas are: Aquatics, Handicraft, Ecology, Scoutcraft, Shooting Sports, First Year Camper, and Aquatics.
Job responsibilities include:
Provide the Ultimate Camper Experience
Protect the safety of the Scouts in their area
Identify opportunities to responsibly enhance the program
Properly keep all scout advancement data and enter daily into the computerized system
Keep and help enforce the policies of the Camp to both campers and staff
Master the content for your assigned Merit Badges
Develop and deliver to a class of scouts a fun and engaging course curriculum

First Baptist School of Charleston Hurricanes Summer Camp is in session from June 3rd through July 26th, and is available to rising K3-5th grade students. We offer campers a rotation of classes including subjects in fine arts, coding, STEAM, Bible, and Physical Education. Campers will also enjoy field trips, waterplay days, and chapel every week.
We are looking for enthusiastic, attentive camp counselors to lead, support, and motivate campers as they enjoy all that the camp has to offer. The camp counselor will help plan events and lead group events, monitor campers and respond to incidents, such as behavioral problems or accidents, log events and maintain records relating to activities, and discuss camper participation and concerns with parents and other camp staff members.
