Camp activities are often loud, involving many people talking, yelling, cheering, etc., in indoor and outdoor settings. The camp environment is often hot, rainy, with bugs or other wildlife. Staff must be able to work outside in a nature setting for sustained periods of time without air conditioning. Job Details The Overnight Camp Counselor provides direction, supervision and support while facilitating a positive camping experience for all campers. The Overnight Camp Counselor has primary responsibility for those campers specifically assigned to the individual counselor. You will offer active, engaged and continuous supervision to all children and participate in maintenance of the facility after activities. The Overnight Camp Counselor should have the ability to live in a camp cabin for up to a week at a time. The Summer Camp Coordinator supports the Camp Abe Lincoln Branch Executive in the daily operations of summer camp programs. This role coordinates programming and schedules, mentors and trains summer camp staff, supervises counselors, and leads camp activities including community gatherings, celebrations, and special events.
