    Adjunct Instructor of Law Department: Norman A. Wiggins School of Law Status: Part Time Adjunct Instructors of Legal Research Law report to the Director of LRW and the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs. The position is a part-time appointment within the Campbell University School of Law. Adjunct LRW instructors teach in Campbell Law's required Legal Research and Writing I and II courses. Adjunct LRW instructors provide students with continuous feedback on their legal writing through individual meetings and ample written critique on finished work. Adjunct LRW instructors collaborate with the LRW Director to prepare problems, assignments, and in-class exercises for a uniform curriculum. The adjunct appointee shall have excellent academic credentials and demonstrated skill in teaching and mentoring students, as well as a background that will contribute to excellence through institutional diversity. All Campbell University faculty are expected to support each of the five distinctives as set forth below. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Cooperate with other assigned faculty to implement a coordinated curriculum, inclusive of learning objectives * Develop and manage course materials from learning objectives and recommendations from the Director of LRW and Associate Dean of Academic Affairs * Administer tests, assignments and other exercises that permit measure of knowledge, abilities and/or performance relative to the course learning objectives * Maintain effective and timely communications with students and staff at all times * Provide students with individual feedback on assessments * Administer exams according to Law School guidelines * Complete student record keeping and submit grades in a timely and accurate manner * Participate in departmental, faculty and staff meetings as requested * Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times * Uphold and abide by Campbell Law School and Campbell University policies and procedures, including, but not limited to Title IX, and Information Security, including FERPA and other state and federal regulations * Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice Education/Experience: * J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school * Minimum two years' legal practice experience * Prior experience instructing courses in legal research and writing is preferred. A track record of competitive grant funding from the NIH (or equivalent) for research and relevant peer-reviewed publications in high quality journals is required. The Nutrition Research Institute will provide an annual commitment of "hard money." In addition, the Institute will provide start-up funding. The Nutrition Research Institute is housed in a modern 125,000 sf facility with state of the art labs and equipment, outstanding core animal facility, and an outpatient human clinical facility.     Adjunct Faculty for Ultrasound Training Department: Jerry M. Wallace School of Osteopathic Medicine Status: Part Time The adjunct faculty in Ultrasound Training is a member of the Clinical Faculty for Campbell University Jerry M. Wallace School of Osteopathic Medicine (CUSOM). The adjunct faculty member is responsible for supervising learners during point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) training sessions and providing feedback and assistance while teaching POCUS scanning techniques. This part-time position will be shared between CUSOM undergraduate, CPHS, and affiliated graduate training programs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Facilitate ultrasound scanning laboratory exercises for Campbell University stakeholders including, but not limited to CUSOM undergraduate, CPHS, and affiliated graduate training programs. * Provide POCUS training according to established ultrasound curricular elements for graduating students. * Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times. * Uphold and abide by Campbell University policies and procedures, including but not limited to Title IX, and Information Security, including but not limited to; HIPAA, FERPA and other state and federal mandates. * Other job-related duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice. Education/Experience: * A Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDMS) Certification from an accredited college or university is required. Multiple credentials preferred. * Preferred experience in instruction of ultrasound * Five years of successful academic experience in a medical school and/or institute of higher education is preferred. * Be a member in good standing in all appropriate professional organizations. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Ability to communicate effectively through both oral and written channels. * Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills. * Comprehensive computer skills, with the ability to learn and utilize new and emerging technology. * Familiarity with/Knowledgeable regarding virtual meeting platforms (such as Zoom), educational platforms (such as Blackboard and Panopto). * Knowledge of /Proficiency with /Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and standard methods of digital communication, including web/text/chat platforms. * Demonstrate tact, a positive attitude, courtesy, and discretion in dealing with trustees, faculty, staff, students, high-level university officials and the public. * Work independently as well as function effectively in a team and within a diverse group of people. * Exercise good judgment in complex, new, and/or stressful situations. * Manage multiple, concurrent projects, and meet set deadlines. * Adaptability, flexibility, and a willingness to work in a changing environment. * Ability to work occasional evening or weekend hours and the ability for occasional travel, including overnight stays. * This position demands accuracy, honesty, integrity, and the ability to work within the Christian mission of Campbell University.
