Thales Academy is excited to expand to the Greenville, SC area in 2023, opening a K-5 campus.

We are looking for a school leader for our Greenville campus. The ideal candidate will be passionate about education, familiar with our Direct Instruction curriculum and ready to help bring Thales to Greenville!

Travel for training will be required, working with existing campuses in Waxhaw, NC and in the Raleigh, NC area.

The mission of Thales Academy is to provide an excellent and affordable education for students in Pre-K to 12th grades through the use of Direct Instruction (K-5) and a Classical Curriculum (6-12) that embodies traditional values.

Responsibilities:

Before opening:

  • Training on the "Thales Way" including curriculum, campus processes and our mission and vision
  • Marketing in the Greenville area, including parent info meetings, community events and other avenues
  • Working with Senior Administrators on schedules, student assessments, curriculum ordering and other operations planning
  • Involvement in the interviewing and hiring process for new teachers

Once Open:

  • Implementing the approved Thales Curriculum at the campus, including training and coaching teachers
  • Overseeing day to day operations of the campus
  • Enforcing discipline and Thales policies
  • Parent communication - newsletters, campus updates, parent meetings
  • Ongoing enrollment (student assessments and parent tours/marketing)

The Intern must have professional experience with Word and Excel. Must work well in teams, possess good leadership skills, and learn quickly. The amount and type of work varies widely depending on the department. Some responsibilities include project management, updating department documents, finance, gathering data, data analysis, medical record projects and problem solving. Interns may be responsible for additional duties as needed.
All positions are administrative not clinical. Some travel may be required for some positions.

Under supervision assists in the provision of information, maintenance of databases, report production and routine data analysis. Work is reviewed for completeness, accuracy and soundness.

Essential Functions:

• Examples of project support include:

• Collects, prepares and tracks reports and summaries such as: budget to actual expenditures, production statistics and utilization of services and statistical records of performance.

• Performs a variety of data collection and analysis assignments.

• Prepares ad hoc data requests as directed.

• Prepares and/or formats graphs, spreadsheets and reports by utilizing office software.

• May be asked to maintain databases on a regular basis by entering data and preparing data extracts.

• May extract information from different sources to compile data.

• Executes existing queries for established reports.

• Schedules conference calls and meeting.

• Contributes to the development of presentations materials.

• Provides administrative and project support as assigned such as copying, filing, entering and extracting data.

• Engages in andsupports project work.

• KP conducts compensation reviews of positions on a routine basis.

• At any time, Kaiser Permanente reserves the right to revaluate and change job descriptions, or to change such positions from salaried to hourly pay status.
