2014

2014 - The CSU STEM VISTA Program launches to increase the number of students, especially from underrepresented communities, graduating with STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) degrees.

2014 - The California State University surpasses 3 million living alumni, marking the milestone with the “Class of 3 Million" celebration.

In 2014, CSUSB signed a historic agreement that guarantees admission to the CSUSB Palm Desert Campus for qualifying high school students from three Coachella Valley school districts.

2015

The initiative received the maximum ($5 million) award in 2015, and the Growing Inland Achievement initiative was born, with a goal to create a coordinated cradle to a career pathway, linking education and business throughout the two counties for the first time ever.

2016

In September 2016, President Morales launched the public phase of the $50 million Comprehensive Campaign for CSUSB, the largest single fundraising initiative in university history.

In 2016, President Holland commissioned and oversaw the development of the nationally and internationally recognized Roots of Knowledge stained glass windows, a 200-foot-wide panorama of the world’s most important advances in human knowledge and understanding.

2017

In 2017, the university opened the first two buildings on the new Manhattanville campus, the Jerome L. Greene Science Center and the Lenfest Center for the Arts.

The campus introduced its cutting-edge Neurofeedback Center in 2017.

2018

2018 - For the first time in the CS​U's history, a majority of the campus presidents are female, with 12 of the 23 campuses being led by women.

The 12 women presidents of the CSU in 2018.​

By the winter of 2018, the endowment had grown to $40+ million.

The College of Health and Human Services was created in 2018 in response to workforce needs.

Doctor Astrid S. Tuminez was appointed the seventh president of Utah Valley University in 2018, and she is the institution’s first woman to serve as the full-time president.

2019

Just 20 months later, the campaign had raised 93 percent of its goal ($46.5 M). By the campaign’s conclusion in 2019, it had reached a total of $54 million raised, exceeding its goal.

In fall 2019, the Center for Global Innovation, the Platinum LEED-certified new home of our College of Extended & Global Education and hub for the university’s global activities, opened.

The total master’s programs UVU offered in 2019 was 11.

2020

2020 - The CSU Center to Close the Opportunity Gap: Identifying Best Practices to Ensure Student Achievement in California's K-12 Schools opened at California State University, Long Beach to eliminate equity gaps at all levels of education.

Fall 2020 also marked the transformation of CSUSB from a quarter to a semester campus.

2021

The Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory was established in 1949 in Palisades, New York, and is a leading research institution focusing on global climate change, earthquakes, volcanoes, nonrenewable resources, and environmental hazards. It examines the planet from its core to its atmosphere, across every continent and every ocean, and has become the backbone of the Columbia Climate School, which opened its first class of students in 2021.
