Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of a Child Nutrition Assistant (CNA) include, but are not limited to the following:
Demonstrate excellent customer service with a positive attitude and demeanor when dealing with students, staff and community patrons, fielding all complaints promptly, answering questions and making healthy food suggestions.
Prepare and assist with the preparation of any meal or meal component as assigned by the kitchen manager. CNA are required to be cross-trained in all meal preparation areas in their assigned kitchen.
Set up and maintain the serving line with adequate food and replenish when necessary, monitoring food quality and temperature during service time.
Able to work other scheduled times during employee absences and when necessary to appropriately run kitchen operation.
Accurately operate cash register at Point of Service and cash out at the end of service with minimal errors
Clean and sanitize the kitchen preparation and service areas, food service equipment and cafeteria area as needed, adhering to safety and sanitation standards at all times.
Operate food service equipment and use preparation tools safely and in the means they were intended to be used. CNA will follow all safety standards and Material Safety Data Sheets for cleaning products and chemicals in the kitchen.
Follow all food safety standards and guidelines outlined by the Canton City Health Department and the Ohio Department of Health. CNA will also comply with and maintain any food safety training as established by Canton City School District, Canton City Health Department and the Ohio Department of Health.
Follow all National School Lunch and Breakfast guidelines established by the USDA and the Ohio Department of Education. All CNA's will complete any required training/professional development required by Canton City School District, Ohio Department of Education and USDA.
Complete daily paperwork required by Canton City Schools offices, Canton City Health Department, Ohio Department of Education and USDA. Paperwork could include, but not limited to Production Sheets, Inventory, Meal Counts, Temperature Logs, Etc.
Supervisor/monitor students in the cafeteria/lunchroom and playground and enforce rules established by the building Principal and the Canton City Schools' discipline initiative. CNA will attend annual training, as required to be current with all changes to processes and procedures as it applies.
Understand and maintain the academic and behavioral standards set for the students by the Board of Education, acting in a professional and respectful manner. CNA will cooperate with others, work as a member of a team and create a pleasant working environment for all Canton City Schools Child Nutrition employees.
Perform other job duties as assigned.

The Department of Public Safety and Sinclair Police serve the campus 24 hours a day, seven days a week providing emergency services, responding to criminal and non-criminal incidents, providing escorts to your vehicle or assisting in finding a lost item. The Dispatcher will work weekend shifts from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM and provides coverage for additional shifts as needed.

* Operates the dishwasher. Verifies cleaning/sanitization cycles are completed properly.
* Follows established sanitization procedures to properly clean items that require hand washing.
