What you'd be doing in this role As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve. At the moment, this role is focused on: Support the configuration, maintenance, and enhancement of our Zuora Billing and Revenue platform to enable accurate and scalable revenue operations across B2C and B2B workstreams. Collaborate with senior engineers and Finance teams to understand business requirements and translate them into system configurations for GTM launches and pricing initiatives. Assist in troubleshooting and resolving system issues, ensuring data accuracy and integration performance across billing and revenue processes. Support data integration workflows between Zuora and other systems (e.g., Salesforce, NetSuite, Finance Data Platform), working with stakeholders to ensure reliable connections. Participate in SOX compliance activities, including user access management, testing, and implementing control best practices in line with IT policies. Contribute to the development and maintenance of system documentation, including integration diagrams, configuration guides, and operational runbooks. Learn and apply best practices in Zuora governance, system performance optimization, and operational scalability as we grow toward public company operations. Partner with IT, Finance, Revenue Operations, and Engineering teams to support ongoing projects, feature rollouts, and system improvements aligned with team goals. We're looking for a capable and driven systems engineer who can operate with autonomy while actively collaborating with senior team members. You'll need to bring a strong foundation in billing or revenue systems, and a proactive mindset to deliver high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment. You're probably a match if You have 2-4 years of experience in Zuora Billing and Revenue platform or supporting financial systems, ideally with hands-on involvement in configuration, maintenance, and stakeholder collaboration. You have a solid understanding of billing operations and revenue recognition processes, including enterprise contract structures and subscription management. You have experience working with cross-functional teams, with the ability to translate business needs into clear technical solutions. You are familiarity with data integrations and exposure to systems such as Salesforce, NetSuite, ERPs, or data warehouses. You are able to produce SQL scripts and use data analytical tools to investigate data and troubleshoot issues. You have a thoughtful and detail-oriented approach to documentation, testing, and system reliability. You have experience in SOX compliance environments or exposure to ITGC controls. You have knowledge of revenue recognition standards (IFRS 15/ASC 606) and how they translate to system requirements. You have the ability to operate and be successful in a high growth environment, and thrive on problem solving and dealing with ambiguity, willing to get your hands dirty when needed. As part of the IT - Business Platforms Group, the Finance Systems team supports the evaluation, implementation, administration, and ongoing innovation of the technology stack across the Finance & Accounting domains. Our team is solving some of Canva's biggest challenges by automating and improving the quality of our processes to allow our employees to do their best work at a place they love.
