    This is a full-time position that requires a combination of highly developed organizing skills, administrative skills, research ability, relational ability, familiarity with models of community organizing training, experience developing and executing organizing campaigns and base building initiatives to move campaign targets, and great attention to detail for program evaluation and deliverable tracking. A portion of time will be spent working with Community Change's sister organization, Community Change Action. This is a 1-year flex position. Principal Responsibilities: Organize a base of individuals who are eligible for Guaranteed Income programs in Chicago, Cook County, and other potential target locations, in or out of state. Advance Community Change's overall strategy to build a direct base of impacted persons by regularly conducting to 1:1s and moving identified persons through an engagement ladder. Work with grassroots partners to advance local/state policy campaigns that advance wins on critical economic freedom issue priorities with base building/power building and governance implications for the partner and Community Change/Action. Coordinate rapid response and cross-team Community Change campaigns to develop state or national strategies, actions, and campaigns as necessary. Provide strategic support, broad campaign training development, and overall coordination for our organizing work in areas of need across the organization. Support and build the organizing and campaigns training capacity of impacted persons, existing and new partner organizations to build their power to win changes at the local, state and federal levels. Report and track campaign and partner progress. Support communications efforts to the field and broader audiences. Provide additional capacity to inform or implement On-line to Off-line organizing strategy and tactics. This position reports to: Organizing Director, Economic Freedom Supervisory Responsibility: N/A Salary & benefits: Annual salary of $90,000 - $105,000.     What you'll do A Protect Life Michigan (PLM) East MI Regional Activist (RA) carries out the mission of PLM by traveling to local campuses and supporting campus staff by assisting in building community, participating in meetings, and attending or leading outreaches. Regional Activists will be trained in campus requirements and in how to lead apologetics training, depending on the RA's skill and the current needs of the campus groups. The RA will work with a designated region of schools (Eastern Michigan University, Oakland Michigan University, Wayne State University, and the University of Michigan), and on occasion, may be asked to travel outside of the region to offer support at other schools. RAs report to a Campus Activist Supervisor. This role can be either full-time (40 hours per week) or part time (20 hours per week), determined by the candidate and the hiring manager. Recruit: The RA will assist student leaders in growing the Protect Life group at schools in their region. Examples of this include: Attend Protect Life campus meetings and events, often in the evenings. Clipboard and utilize recruitment tabling on campus, as needed. Equip: The RA will seek to equip pro-life students to better communicate the pro-life message in a loving and persuasive way. Examples of this include: Organize, participate in, and lead regular outreach on campus. Distribute resources to students about the pro-life movement and ways they can be involved. Lead training in Protect Life Michigan's apologetics and conversational strategies and tactics, as needed. Network: The RA will work to create an environment of collaboration and unity between students and the pro-life movement. Examples of this include: Host or participate in team-building events and activities. Actively encourage students to pursue full-time work in the pro-life movement. Lives within 30 minutes of at least one of the universities in the region. Flexible work schedule, and the ability to work nights/weekends as necessary.
