Job Summary
An employee in this class answers emergency and non-emergency calls for police, fire, and other emergency services using a multi-line telephone and 911 systems. Employees in this class have successfully completed all training and can function proficiently with the Law Enforcement or EMS radio system. This position is responsible for fast, efficient, and accurate receiving, dispatching, and processing of calls and messages. The work is performed under the supervision of a Communications Officer II. The principal duties of this class are performed in a general office environment, frequently under stressful conditions.
Key Responsibilities
* Receives, evaluates, and prioritizes requests for emergency and non-emergency service from the public, police and fire agencies, County offices, contract agencies, and other callers;
* Interviews emergency callers to determine the nature of the emergency, location of the incident, other related information and the need for dispatching of emergency assistance using a telephone switchboard according to established rules and procedures;
* Processes the requests received according to procedure; determines as much information as possible from the requestor to enable the most appropriate agency of responsibility and the most appropriate level of response;
* Uses computer aided dispatch to enter requests for service and track officer-initiated incidents;
* Dispatches fire units, police units, ambulances, and other necessary emergency and non-emergency equipment and personnel to aid officers in the field or the general public in emergency and non-emergency situations;
* Establishes a priority to each request in accordance with established guidelines and enters the request into the computer-assisted dispatch system for dispatch;

POSITION GENERAL SUMMARY:
A Community and Regional Planner develops land use plans and programs that help create communities, accommodates population growth, and ensures needed public facilities in Ada County. POSITION GENERAL SUMMARY:

Essential Functions
* Oversees and coordinates concessions, catering, and other food and beverage services across assigned facilities, including the Expo Idaho Center grounds, Turf Club, and Boise Professional Soccer facility, ensuring that the organization's food and beverage programs meet the needs of the organization's customers;

Pay Scale
New Security Control Specialists start at a Level I pay rate of $20.25/hour. As you progress through the designated steps of the professional development plan, pay increases to $22.00/hour (Level II) and $24.00/hour (Level III).
Shift Information
Generally, three 12-hour shifts and one 4-hour shift per week. Day shift (6:00am-6:00pm) or night shift (6:00pm-6:00am). There are two main work weeks: Sunday - Wednesday and Wednesday - Saturday. Shift pick is every six months. Security Control Specialists work a variety of shifts including days, swings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Working shift work means that you may miss family holidays, birthdays, children's activities and other similar events. Security Control Specialists rotate shifts every six months. There is also the possibility that the shift will change in the middle of a rotation to meet the needs of the agency.

POSITION GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Detention Health Care Technician provides medical care to residents under the direction of a medical provider to include vitals, medication administration, procedures, labs, and prescribed treatments. The position is located at the Ada County Juvenile Services Detention Center.

The incumbent works under the direction of the Medical Supervisor and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

* Provides subacute and acute care to youth in detention along with technical, clinical, and clerical support as needed;
