PURPOSE OF POSITION: Develops and executes the strategic vision for Patient Financial Services (“PFS”) functions across all Cape Cod Healthcare ("CCHC") entities. Provides leadership and oversight of key operational and financial decisions pertaining to all insurance and patient Accounts Receivable (“AR”) resolution, denials management, customer service and billing compliance. Coordinates with the VP of Revenue Cycle and/or CFO to develop yearly metrics and is responsible for managing people and processes to achieve or exceed CCHC's revenue cycle goals and performance metrics expectations. Has responsibility to timely budget submission and ongoing management to budget expectations. Leads or serves on CCH revenue cycle process improvement task forces and committees.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directs the performance of CCHC Patient Financial Services Accounts Receivable (AR) including but not limited to Billing, Insurance Follow-Up, Customer Service, Denials Prevention and Management and Vendor Management.
Responsible for hiring, coaching, and otherwise developing direct reports and creating or ensuring creation of a structure for employee onboarding and ongoing development.
Collaborates with the CFO and VP of PFS & Revenue Cycle to set goals, identify opportunities to improve AR resolution, resulting in payment based on industry Key Performance Indicators (“KPIs”) for Patient Financial Services and Revenue Cycle.
Responsible for measurement and reporting of ongoing financial and operational performance. Ensure the implementation of action plans where performance is not meeting expectations and recognizing areas of excellence.
Lead the implementation of best practice strategies to increase cash flow and turnaround time in account resolution.
Demonstrates a commitment to exceptional customer satisfaction to all parties. Develop, implement, and manage efficient and effective operational policies, procedures, processes and performance monitoring across all Patient Financial Services functions. Ensure that all PFS employees and process owners are held accountable and are meeting established standards and goals.
Ensure PFS employees across all functions are trained and comply with established policies, processes, and quality assurance programs.
Identify potential process improvements through Patient Financial Services, and lead the design and implementation as required.
Coordinate and oversee all third party AR and payment application process transition points between Patient Financial Services and other functional areas within the revenue cycle organization.
Monitor and facilitate service level agreements (“SLAs”) between Patient Financial Services and other related functions, within both Revenue Cycle and Clinical Operations as necessary.
Coordinate with peers across the Revenue Cycle organization, and with related stakeholders, on the management of third-party denials by working with the onsite Revenue Cycle Integration leaders, Patient Access Services and middle Revenue Cycle functions, Professional Revenue Cycle, Home Health and Hospice, and Behavioral Health to identify trends and implement denials prevention and/or recovery programs.
Routinely conduct payer trend analysis to ensure optimal processing and reimbursement, identify issues, communicate findings to CCHC PFS stakeholders, define solutions and initiate resolution.
Coordinate with peers across the Revenue Cycle organization on the management of PFS edits by working with the Unbilled Committee to identify trends and implement modifications to workflow to limit pre-billing edits.
Build strong relationships and facilitate productive communication between key revenue cycle stakeholders, including peer leaders of Revenue Cycle services and core support departments (e.g., Human Resources, IT, Finance, Managed Care, etc.)
Develop and maintain effective payer working relationships.
Assess direct reports' performance on a consistent basis and provides feedback to reward effective performance and enable proactive performance improvement steps to be taken.
Consistently provides service excellence to all patients, family members, visitors, volunteers and co-workers.
Challenges current working practices; identifies process improvement opportunities and presents recommendations and solutions to management. Engages and commits to the organization's culture of continuous improvement by actively participating, supporting, and promoting CCHC Pillars of Excellence.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management or related discipline preferred or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of five to seven years of relevant experience with a track record of progressively responsible positions in a complex healthcare organization such as a multi-hospital system, large group practice or a major healthcare consulting firm preferred.
Minimum of three to five years of supervisory/management experience. Prior experience in a union environment preferred.
Strong technical grounding, project management and implementation experience required. Proven leadership abilities and comprehensive knowledge of healthcare information systems. Epic Single Business Office (SBO) and clearinghouse experience preferred.
Strong working knowledge of regulatory requirements, payer requirements, billing coding requirements (ICD, CPT, HCPCs, etc.), general revenue cycle management strategies, and industry best practices.
Thorough knowledge of metrics, analytics, and data synthesis in healthcare patient financial services and revenue cycle management to identify trends, produce reliable forecasts and projections.
Strong analytical and critical thinking, organizational, and business process optimization skills, with in-depth ability to develop and pursue goals, synthesize data to identify system vulnerabilities and develop and apply innovative solutions.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
An understanding of the psychology of complex corporate relationships, and an ability to influence within such an environment.
Excellent communication and organizational skills are required, with the ability to effectively communicate to physicians, patients, staff, payers and administration. Explorations is a six-week weekday summer program, based in Newton, where teens, aged 14-19 years old, participate in supported recreational and social activities while learning a variety of practical life skills out in the community. Community trips take place throughout the metro Boston area (Faneuil Hall, Prudential Center, movie theater, bowling, museums, and restaurants) and typically utilize public transportation
Qualifications
The Therapeutic Float is responsible for helping to manage the therapeutic needs of participants in collaboration with their group leaders, assistant group leaders and leadership staff. This includes serving as a resource in a variety of therapeutic models that foster growth in the areas of social pragmatics, stress and anxiety management, and self-awareness. The Float will be expected to demonstrate proficiency in these skills and provide consultation and training to staff in effective strategies. In addition, this individual will be responsible for maintaining accurate records about program policies and procedures and ensuring that the assigned site operates as efficiently and effectively as possible.

Job Summary
The Operating Room Surgical Aide works as an integral part of the healthcare team, responsible for maintaining a safe environment in which quality patient care is delivered. He/she works under the direct supervision of the registered professional nurse, the Pod Leader, and the Operating Room Charge Nurse. The O.R. Surgical Aide is responsible for the transportation of patients to and from the Operating Room and other locations. As needed and directed, he/she assists nursing staff in the rooms with patient care which includes positioning and transfer of anesthetized patients as well as supporting limbs during a surgical skin prep. He/she is also responsible for performing a shave prep of the patient prior to surgery, according to established guidelines, and the delivery of specimens and blood products to and from the Laboratory and Radiology. Other duties include between-case cleaning, the handling of infectious waste, sharps, and maintaining order and cleanliness in the Pods and CSR2 Soiled area. The O.R. Surgical Aide is responsible for maintaining inventory levels of specified stock items in the Operating Room, and the preparation of stretchers and oxygen tanks to see that both are ready and available when needed for patient transport. Prioritization of patient care tasks at hand and communication with health care team members is an important factor in performing the duties of this role. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: •Understands the importance and practice of Isolation/Precautions in patient care. •Maintains inventory level of specified stock items within the Operating Room according to established guidelines. •Responsible for assisting nursing staff in the rooms as needed and directed (i.e. turning, moving anesthetized patients, holding of extremities for surgical prep, gathering of equipment, etc.). •Performs between-case cleaning in order to minimize turnaround between surgical procedures. •Checks status of stretchers to assure they are ready and available when needed for patient transport. Cleans according to established policy and procedure. •Responsible for performing the Balancing of the Total Care Bed for specific patient populations prior to patient use. •Checks status of oxygen tanks on stretchers to assure O2 is always available for patient transport. •Maintains inventory of medical gases for patient care, i.e. oxygen, laser mixture, nitrogen, compressed air. •Delivery of specimens and blood products to the Laboratory or Radiology, as directed by nursing personnel. •Cleans Operating Room equipment at end of surgical procedures, including surgical table, mayo stands, ring stands, instrument tables, kick buckets and IV poles, according to established infection control policies and procedures, i.e. Isolation/Precautions. •Runs errands as needed and directed by registered professional nurse and/or charge nurse, understanding the importance of efficiency in performing tasks. •Collaborates with other members of the surgical team to see that each Operating Room is clean and all equipment is in place. •Performs shave prep on surgical patient as directed, according to established guidelines, policy and procedure. •Determines specific waste type, i.e. hazardous vs. regular, for proper disposal of O.R. trash. •Maintains order and cleanliness in CSR2 Soiled room where linen, trash, and infectious waste are stored prior to disposal via CSR/Environmental Services. •Communicates pertinent information with regard to patient care concerns to appropriate personnel. •Responsible for application of the principles of asepsis to maintain integrity of the sterile field. •Assists and collaborates with the Circulating nurse and Surgical Technologist to set up for surgical procedures with proper instrumentation, equipment and supplies. •Assists in the care, cleaning and maintenance of all general and specialty instruments, equipment and supplies according to established guidelines, policies and procedures. •Maintains confidentiality of information related to individual patients and patient care units.

Reporting to the Supervisor Call Center Operations, the Senior Operator Call Center, goal is to provide outstanding customer care to every caller. The Senior Operator position ensures that the main number, page calls and answering service business are answered in a consistent, efficient, and courteous manner.
The Operator of Customer Service in a multifunctional 24/7 on site medical call center. The position includes processing calls for Main Listed Number, Patient Information, Paging, and Answering Service. The ideal candidate would be able to toggle between multi screens seamlessly and treat every caller as a welcome guest.
* Responsible for handling incoming and outgoing calls in an expedient, efficient and courteous manner.
* Responsible for handling requests for paging as well as retrieval of pages efficiently and accurately.
* Responsible for requests from staff regarding changing the status of their pagers.
* Responsible for announcement of pager activation of all PHS Codes which includes internal and external disasters, infant abduction, medical, fire and safety emergencies, often of a life threatening nature.
* Responsible for responding to all telephone requests for patient information, which may include handling of confidential information.
* Responsible for issuing loaner pagers and/or adding as well as deleting pagers to PHS paging system which includes updating PHS telephone directory and paging databases.

* Escalates any unusual or difficult problems with telephoned, the paging system or answering services to the supervisor.

* Responsible for handling any problem calls or situations that may arise in the office professionally and efficiently.
* Responsible for maintenance of on call schedules and answering service changes that occurs which includes a thorough knowledge of all staff rotating on call and that the information is kept current and accurate.
* Assists supervisor to ensure sufficient shift coverage for open positions and sick calls.
* Responsible for issuing loaner pagers or issuing new pagers for staff as necessary. This includes a thorough knowledge of the paging system as well as the emergency procedures in the event of loss of the paging system.
* May be required to work the overnight shift 11pm-7am unsupervised and alone.
* Responsible for initiating service calls to appropriate repair staff in the event the paging or telephone system ceases to function. This includes shutting down and restoring paging and answering service systems on line with the assistance from a technician.

Job Summary
GENERAL SUMMARY/ OVERVIEW STATEMENT:
Under indirect supervision of the Chief Technologist, the incumbent performs standard electroencephalographic (EEG) examinations (includes routine awake and sleep EEGs, portable EEGs and long term monitoring bedside EEGs) on both outpatients and inpatients. Responsibilities include test set up, electrode application, conduction of tests and the collection of information pertinent to the interpretation of the tests. May perform clerical/administrative duties as required.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Greets patients and explains the examination procedures to the patient and/or family. May perform the tests in the laboratory, at the patient bedside, in an intensive care unit or in the emergency room.
Selects predetermined standard and special electrode combinations (montages) made necessary by the case under study. May need to add additional electrodes as clinically indicated.
Measures patient's head using the international 10-20 system prior to placement of monitoring equipment. Operates the EEG equipment to record EEG procedures.
Monitors recording as it is in progress, makes pertinent notations of the clinical state of the patient and defines abnormal from normal activity based on the patient's history and clinical condition.
Obtains standard recordings, recognizes artifacts and takes appropriate steps to eliminate them. Uses activating procedures such as hyperventilation, photic stimulation and sleep.
Abstracts relevant information from the patient's clinical record and obtains additional information from a patient interview. Writes a technical report with an impression of the data to aid in the physician's interpretation.
Accurately enters patient data into a reporting system computer terminal and retrieves and reviews previous tests/recordings as needed for comparison. Stores data appropriately.
Maintains, troubleshoots, cleans and performs minor repairs on the EEG equipment; reports need for major repairs to supervisor.
Helps maintain the laboratory inventory. Keeps laboratory in a neat and orderly fashion.
Attends departmental staff and in-service meetings as required.
Follows all established departmental policies and procedures. Maintains patient safety and patient confidentiality at all times.
Must be available to work on-call, off shift and weekends.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from an EEG training program or Associates Degree program.
Six months or more experience working in a patient care environment.
Eligible for ABRET certification to be completed within 2 years from date of hire.

Reporting to the MGH-MEE Senior Manager of Infection Control , the manager oversees site-specific infection prevention programs, ensures rigorous compliance with HLDS requirements, and helps shape institutional policy, training, and safety initiatives to safeguard patients, staff, and the academic mission.
Essential Functions
Infection Prevention & Program Leadership
* Leads and coordinates the MGH and MEE Ambulatory Infection Control program, ensuring alignment with academic medical center standards, research demands, and teaching priorities.
* Develops, implements, and evaluates the program, with special emphasis on HLDS and device reprocessing.
* Conducts needs and risk assessments and to support infection control at MGH and MEE ambulatory sites, including ambulatory surgical centers (ASCs).
* Implements systemwide infection prevention and HLDS goals at the site level, ensuring adherence to clinical, administrative, and regulatory requirements.
HLDS Oversight
* Oversees and evaluates compliance with HLDS policies, procedures, competencies, and quality monitoring across departments.
* Partners with the Central Sterile Processing and Supply (CSPS) department, procedural areas, and clinical leadership to ensure safe, consistent device reprocessing practices.
* Supports readiness for inspections, accreditation surveys, and regulatory reviews related to infection prevention and HLDS.
