Role Description
As our Senior Software Engineer specializing in Voice services and related technology/protocols, you'll be part of a highly visible team responsible for developing the critical Microservices APIs and infrastructure that supports various clients, including Android, iOS, Web, and internal applications. In this role, you'll:
Design and implement scalable, robust, and industry-best-practice compliant backend applications by carefully assessing trade-offs using Kotlin and related technologies, including Spring Boot and other related frameworks.
Hands-on software engineering for tasks/projects related to voice products, provisioning, billing along other product offerings in GFiber as needed
Understand, troubleshoot & perform software enhancements for voice products end to end flow all the way from product qualification to provisioning and billing

Enforce strict code review processes to ensure that code is of high quality, consistent, and aligned with established coding standards.

At a minimum we'd like you to have:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,800 - $229,700 + bonus + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This role is highly technical and foundational, ensuring that Epic's backend databases are performant, scalable, and stable.
**Chronicles Database Architecture and Maintenance:**
+ Design, configure, and maintain Epic's Chronicles database structures.

+ Support tools like Bridges, Interconnect, Cloverleaf, and Beaker that depend on efficient and secure database interactions.
**Security, Compliance, and Disaster Recovery Planning:**

Role Responsibilities:
* Design and develop Python scripts for performance automation tasks.

Required Skills:

* 5+yrs Experience using a Selenium / Serenity automation framework (Java based) is required. Playwright experience is also preferred.
* 5+yrs Experience with Agile software development methodology using Scrum.
Experience with GitHub Copilot or other generative AI tools to increase efficiency and quality.
* 2+yrs SQL and NoSQL database experience.
* 3+yrs BDD experience or familiarity - Gherkin experience is a plus but not required.
