Position Overview
SUMMARY (Basic Purpose of the Job) Develops strategies, plans and executes process to increase quality, safety and operational excellence in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the organization. Assists in providing technical, clinical, and administrative leadership in the care of robotic surgery patients. This includes assisting the team leaders in general management of the operating rooms to ensure the efficient processing of patients, forecasting/ordering of equipment and supply needs. Assists in development and maintenance of policies, protocols and data collection related to robotic surgery.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Associates degree or graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Completion of First Assistant program and completion of 20 hours or 10 cases of proctoring by the sponsoring surgeon. Nationally certified operating room nurse through the association of operating room nurses (AORN) required “and” must attain CNOR within six months of hire. Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Experience: Five years of Operating Room surgical procedures experience including robotic and minimally invasive surgery.
Other Credentials: AHA BLS - Healthcare Provider, Registered Nurse - NJ
Knowledge and Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work with interdepartmental teams, government agencies, private corporation personnel in collegial and business-like manner.
Special Training:Familiar with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook and database programs.
Mental, Behavioral and Emotional Abilities: A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected under the direction of the supervising attending physician.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Promotes growth of DaVinci robotics program; maintains clinical competencies in robotic surgeries, drives new processes and procedures with DaVinci surgical system.
Serves as a model in the roles of educator, facilitator, change agent, consultant, mentor, and leader to promote the professional growth of peers in the DaVinci realm.
Serves as a resource for and contributes to the professional development of physicians and staff in regards to DaVinci application and growth.
Develops, directs, and participates in performance improvement activities with leadership within the scope of the robotics program.
Acts as interdepartmental liaison between physicians, management, staff, ancillary departments, and professional contacts for robotics program.
Works collaboratively with educators to provide education to staff related to robotic surgery and data collection.
Assesses, revises, and updates surgical schedule in advance to find and fill available robotic surgical procedure times with cases.
Orders and maintains inventory of robotic supplies.
Acts as first assistant at the patient bedside for surgical procedures.

Position Overview
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provides assistance to patients and families by guiding them through navigation process. Schedules patient appointments, explains steps and procedures, gathers imaging films from outside facilities, and provides patient education. Communicates extensively with all members of team on behalf of the patient.
Answers incoming telephone calls to determine the purpose of a call, and to forward the call to appropriate personnel or department. Is well versed and able to answers a variety of questions about services and programs.
Provides guest assistance with a vast variety of services including transportation, hotel accommodations, referrals to other oncology team members (nurse navigators, financial navigator, dietician, social workers) and referrals to appropriate community resources.
If Patient Navigator for Center for Women's Imaging, navigates patients who need additional imaging or breast biopsies. Provides information and support and schedules appointments with the appropriate surgeon if their biopsies are positive and require further medical intervention. Smoothly transitions patients to the breast cancer navigator and other members of the oncology team. Provides assistance with second opinion referrals with outside cancer centers.
Specific for the Lung Cancer Screening program, navigates patients through this entire program. Provides intake, coordinates prescription and authorization with the patient's physician, and schedules CT screen through central scheduling. Maintains database, coordinates with the radiology department to receive results and communicate with the patient, sends yearly follow-up reminder letters. Provides positive cases for review at the weekly Thoracic Cancer. Smoothly transitions patients as needed. Refers patients to the smoking cessation program.
Provides individualized assistance to patients, families and caregivers to help overcome health care system barriers such as need for personal and emotional support, language, and any other problems that may arise. Facilitates timely access to care, as appropriate.
Performs one or more of the following: maintaining metrics and reports as requested by Director of Radiology and Director of Oncology Services, reviewing Center for Oncology website to ensure it is up-to-date, assisting in developing of patient education binder/materials, assisting in development and implementation of a peer navigation program, helps develop and coordinate the Center for Oncology patient satisfaction program.
Upon request, assists in the planning of special programs such as Survivorship Day, Patient Advisory Council, CME education programs.
Maintains initial and annual Capital Health navigation competency.
Upon request, attends Capital Health related community educational events.
Performs other tasks as requested.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Associate's degree in Healthcare, Marketing, or related field OR High School Diploma/GED with five years relevant experience in healthcare at a hospital or community organization in lieu of degree.
Experience: Two years relevant experience in healthcare at a hospital or community organization.
Knowledge and Skills: Excellent ability to communicate effectively with at all levels of the organization. Excellent phone etiquette and phone communications skills.
Special Training: Possesses knowledge and ability with Microsoft Office suite of applications. Knowledge of e-mail, internet and word processing programs.

Weekends Required
Handles chemicals and solutions per departmental and material safety data sheet standards error free and efficiently. Ensures all chemicals are properly labeled at all time and utilized properly. Assures safe function of all equipment used.

Covers, labels, and dates all food items as indicated in our HACCP regulations.
Records timely and accurately amount of food prepared and leftovers on production forecasting sheets. Utilizes proper storage and usage of leftovers by recording on the leftover log in conjunction with HACCP regulations.
Completes all sanitation assignments as outlined in the sanitation checklist for daily, weekly, and monthly with signature of completion.
Uses proper glove and hair restraints in place at all times when handling food according to HACCP regulations, checked by Management.
Cleans and sanitizes efficiently all food surface areas, counters and equipment, after each use, as monitored by supervisor.

Short Description * Assist with patient assessment, mechanical ventilatory support monitoring, non-invasive ventilation support, administration of medical gas delivery systems (i.e.: heliox, nitric, oxygen compressed air, etc...). * Humidification and aerosol therapy, airway management, delivery of aerosolized & instilled medications, chest physical therapy, vest therapy, IPV therapy, in-exsuffalator therapy, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, arterial blood gas acquisition & analysis, * Pulse oximetry monitoring & trending, ventilatory weaning, peak flow monitoring, assist with bedside tracheostomies, and bronchoscopy. * Assist with internal and external patient transporting, patient and family education. * Clean and prep respiratory therapy equipment, deliver oxygen tanks as required, assist staff as needed with regards to equipment needs. Experience Required Prior hospital or patient care experience preferred. Education Requirements Graduate of accredited AS/BS Degree (AMA Approved Respiratory Care Program). License/Certification Requirements * Valid BLS. * Obtain an RCP license within 90 days of graduation. * Maintain required proficiencies (skills fair, BLS, NRP, and NJ State Licensure).

SUMMARY (BASIC PURPOSE OF THE JOB)
Provides occupational therapy treatment under the supervision of the occupational therapist. Documents all aspects of occupational therapy services in a timely and effective manner. Engages in professional development. Carries out projects and assigned ongoing department functions effectively. Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Graduation from accredited occupational therapy educational program approved by NJ Occupational Therapy Advisory Council. Licensed as occupational therapy assistant in NJ.
Experience: One year experience preferred with patient populations specific to the position including acute adult inpatient, adult outpatient, and pediatric care.
Other Credentials: AHA BLS - Healthcare Provider, Occup Therapy Asst
2 hours of Stroke related Continuing Education contact hours annually if working in acute care setting. Stroke education is only applicable to those working with patients in the stroke program.
Knowledge and Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and cultural competence.
Special Training: Ongoing continuing education courses.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
* Implements therapist's treatment plan utilizing appropriate treatment procedures, modalities, exercise programs, and manual techniques. Supports therapists in maintaining coordination of care with physicians, nurses and other providers and team members.
* Recognizes and responds to changes in the patient's condition. Pursues clear direction from therapist immediately for urgent issues. Pursues appropriate times for discussion of patient issues not in need of urgent attention.
* Instructs patients, families, and other caregivers to perform therapeutic activities safely and effectively to improve the patient's level of function, achieve treatment goals, and maximize carryover of home instructions.
* Ensures documentation is timely including submission of attendance/charging records or "billing sheets". Ensures documentation is complete and effective in communicating essential aspects of care, including treatment program, skilled services provided, patient attendance record, and communication with supervising therapist.
* Ensures documentation of time spent with patient is accurate and clear, and statistical data such as charging, is accurate and documentation of a patient encounter includes date and time. Ensures documentation of data, questionnaires, and surveys measuring patient outcomes is complete as required.
* Participates in educational opportunities and self-directed learning. Participates in clinical education program for OTA students when feasible.
* Participates in committees, special projects, performance improvement (PI) activities, and assists therapists with presentations to community, including occasional participation in events outside of work hours as needed.
* Takes responsibility for problems or issues related to patient care or department operations. Attempts to understand various points of view, employs positive problem solving techniques and works toward full resolution.
* Takes accountability for progress and problem-solving of at least one assigned project or ongoing department function. Maintains clear records associated with the projects such as data collection tools, dates, and times of actions taken as appropriate. Maintains proactive timeliness of project activities.
* Demonstrates willingness to adapt to changing departmental demands. Shifts among campuses to fulfill patient needs as required.
