Capitol-Husting company history timeline

1946

Capitol Liquor Company was founded in 1946, where the involvement of the Alevizos family began.

1960

Soda production ended in 1960.

1965

In 1965 the E.L. Husting Company was bought and merged with Capitol Liquor Company to form the current Capitol-Husting Company, Inc.

1973

In 1973 Greg Alevizos, current Owner and President of the company, began working with his father and over the past 40 plus years has grown the company into one of the most successful wholesale distributors in Wisconsin.

1990

Initially Capitol-Husting Co., Inc. serviced the seven southeastern Wisconsin counties, but in the mid 1990's expanded its sales organization to the Fox Valley forming a subsidiary company named Allstate Liquor and Wine Company.

2003

While the company continued to aggressively, expand its southeastern Wisconsin business, in 2003 Allstate Liquor and Wine Company expanded its distribution to the entire state of Wisconsin with a growing sales organization and delivery team.

2005

Jerry joined Capitol-Husting Company in 2005, after spending more than 7 years working for Diageo North America in various sales management roles, as well as working in the wholesale beer business for AB InBev in Chicago.

2019

On July 8th, 2019 Jerry Zavorka, current Vice-President of Sales has been appointed President of the organization.
