In 1909, it's a red NY on a navy cap.
Partway through 1916 the home pinstripe cap and jersey are dropped.
From 1922 on, the navy cap with white NY is used home and road.
Around 1960 the logo gets longer.
For a long time baseball caps were produced in standard hat sizes, but after 1980 on the market were also caps in one size with an adjustment strap in the back.
