In 1909, it's a red NY on a navy cap.
Partway through 1916 the home pinstripe cap and jersey are dropped.
From 1922 on, the navy cap with white NY is used home and road.
Around 1960 the logo gets longer.
For a long time baseball caps were produced in standard hat sizes, but after 1980 on the market were also caps in one size with an adjustment strap in the back.
The logo gets a bit thicker around 1980.
Since early 1990's, thanks to hip-hop artists like Ice Cube and Easy-E, and Hollywood directors like Steven Spielberg and Spike Lee, when wearing caps backward was hit, baseball caps become also a fashion item.
The Yankees are the last team to adopt grey undervisors in 1994.
Batterman logo changed to navy & grey in 2010.
