As a Captain, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and security of our facility while also providing guidance and support to those in our care.
Job Responsibilities:
Oversee the security operations in the designated functional area during each shift. Monitor activities, movements, and transportation, and ensure accurate headcounts are conducted.
Possess knowledge of supervisory principles and practices, as well as the facility's policies, procedures, and work rules. Understand reporting requirements, DWCRC staffing priorities, and appropriate emergency planning and crisis response procedures.
Maintain inmate discipline, prevent escapes, and ensure the personal safety of inmates, staff, and visitors.
Supervise, assign tasks, review and evaluate the work of Correctional Officers, and provide ongoing training. Ensure that all Correctional Officers fulfill their assigned duties effectively.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
Previous experience in a correctional facility is preferred but not required. All training provided
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow policy and procedures accurately
Must pass a background check and drug screening

Responsibilities:
The individual in this position is expected to engage in the following work-related activities and complete all training requirements including:

Hands-on stations training
Provide friendly, enthusiastic service for all guests
Promptly greet guests as they enter and thank them as they leave
Maintain awareness of current promotions
Explain menu items, answer questions, and suggest additional items
Enthusiastically represent the Dairy Queen brand
Accurately complete orders and guest transactions
Enter guest orders accurately into the point of sale system
Accept payments, operate cash registers, and maintain receipts
Handle cash payments, count and verify tills, and record totals appropriately
Maintain a clean, safe, welcoming environment
Clean and maintain guest areas including dining room, counters, bathrooms, and building exterior
Maintain equipment and inform management of maintenance needs
Stock paper goods, condiments, silverware, and beverages
Keep work areas clean and organized
Accurately complete, package, and present guest orders
