A Engine Captain I (Engine Boss) at Chloeta will participate in wildfire prevention and mitigation work for structure protection. This role will be focused mainly on property insurance protection and not on suppression activities. Engine Captains also lead their crews in physical training, basic engine maintenance, wildfire staging, homeowner assessments, data collection and prescribed burn assignments.
