INTRODUCTION The Part-121 ATR Captain will conduct safe, efficient, compliant and professional flight services. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Safely maneuver the aircraft during all phases of flight; monitor all flight conditions including weather and cargo safety, and verify go/no-go decision; verify fuel requirements and related weather variables and ensure proper loading; make alternate destination decisions when the intended destination is unavailable.
Maintain command of all situations as they arise due to unexpected circumstances during the flight; ensure proper communication with stations, towers, flight controllers and dispatchers during the flight; file all reports required by the FAA and report any unusual aircraft behavior or performance to dispatch or maintenance personnel; properly record flight-hours in conjunction with Dispatch and adhere to FAA rest requirements and company directives.
Supervise and evaluate staff; maintain familiarity and knowledge of applicable changes in regulations and procedures concerning the safe operation of all company aircraft; maintain thorough knowledge of all applicable policies, procedures, manuals, handbooks and protocol; serve as a positive, constructive and communicative leader for the company and its customers.
Review company bulletins and other correspondence on a daily basis, including emails and voicemails; submit all transmittals, expense reports and other company documents/correspondence in an accurate and timely manner, in accordance with policy and procedures.
Serve as a role model for ethical behavior, maintain a professional and dignified work environment, and promote and support the mission of Empire Airlines.

Ensure all flights are released in accordance with FAR 135 guidelines and all of the necessary documentation is aboard the aircraft for legal and safe completion of each flight.
Ensure that required airworthiness inspections have been accomplished and any previous discrepancies have been corrected or properly deferred in accordance with the MEL for that aircraft (as applicable).
Complete the aircraft preflight inspection and performs preflight preparation to include a risk assessment for each flight conducted.
Complete each flight as assigned by the company/customer, strictly adhering to schedules, routes of flight and load manifests.
Ensure that all crew members are practicing CRM and are fully briefed on the particulars for each flight and any changes to original flight plans, passenger or cargo loads or condition of the aircraft and/or operating environment.
Communicate routinely with on site management personnel on any issues with regard to safety of flight, maintenance of aircraft, life support, customer concerns or personnel issues.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Boat Captain to support the deployment, testing, and operation of our autonomous surface vessels. This role is critical in bridging traditional marine operations with next-generation autonomy. As Boat Captain, you'll operate manned support vessels and assist in the oversight of autonomous systems during field tests, contributing directly to the development and validation of advanced maritime technologies.
Responsibilities:
* Operate and maintain company-owned support vessels during field trials and test events.
* Lead safe deployment, recovery, and towing operations of ASVs in various maritime environments.
* Collaborate closely with engineers, autonomy developers, and mission planners to execute test plans.
* Ensure all maritime operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including USCG standards.
* Participate in safety assessments and contribute to operational planning and risk mitigation.
* Support logistics, maintenance, and troubleshooting of vessels and onboard systems.
* Act as the on-water safety lead during test operations.
Qualifications:
* Valid U.S. Coast Guard Captain's License (e.g., OUPV or Master 25/50/100 Ton).
* Minimum 3 years experience operating vessels in coastal or open-ocean environments.
* Strong knowledge of maritime safety, navigation, and emergency procedures.
* Comfortable operating in a dynamic startup environment and willing to "wear many hats."
* Excellent communication and leadership skills in high-tempo operational settings.
* Physically capable of working on boats in variable weather and sea conditions.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience supporting military or government maritime operations.
* Familiarity with autonomous or remotely operated marine vehicles.
* Background in marine electronics, navigation systems, or mechanical systems.
* Security clearance or ability to obtain one.
Physical Demands:
* Ability to certify as "fit for work" by demonstrating ability to swim and tread water
* Frequently and repetitively, lift, push and carry up to 75 lbs.
* Will be exposed to marine environments, including sun, wind, rain, cold, and saltwater spray, often for extended periods
* Must be able to operate in daylight, low-light, and night conditions using marine navigation systems and visual cues
* Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods of time, up to 12 hours/day
* The ability to carry 20 lbs. up and down stairs
