Meets with Servers, Bartender and event staff to provide instructions and post daily side work. Inspects table place-setting, table linen, chinaware and silverware for correct placement and conditions to ensure that all is clean, undamaged and attractive. Responsible for proper setting of of buffet tables and other food service tables. Supervises the handling, storage and security of all Banquet service equipment. Sees that all scheduled events take place on time and according to BEO. Makes contact with the host in charge of event to introduce him/herself and coordinate all final details of the event. Informs Banquet Manager of any repairs needed related to service equipment. Participates in Banquet staff training sessions with Manager. Promptly and accurately performs any special assignments made by Banquet Manager. Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED a plus but not required Previous Banquet Captain experience required Must be able to read and communicate in English to ensure guest satisfaction Must have AM & PM work availability Must be able to work weekends and holidays Previous guest service experience required.
