12v Car Audio/Remote Start Technician

Expanding commission-based high-volume shop. A team-based work environment or if you're a loaner that works also. Commission on upsales. Celebrating 25 years this October taking care of a large customer base, and currently running a 2-3 week backlog. Looking for the right driven, $$ motivated person. Additional compensation for finding and implementing new products/services.

Must be punctual and available for overtime. Self Starter is a plus. Must be able to speak to customers and explain features of installed product. MECP certification is a plus not required. Must have a valid driver's license, and clean driving record. Must play well with others. Daily responsibilities include Installation of scheduled work + walk-in opportunities, Demonstrating installed products, and upselling. Keep the work area clean and organized. Monday - Friday 8:30 - 5:30 (Flexible) No Saturdays, but available if interested. $50,000 - $100,000 yearly

• Report to work on time, Customers are often waiters and we schedule your time based on that
• Installation, troubleshoot, repair of 12v accessories, Remote Starts, Car Audio, Security Interlock Systems, Back-up Cameras, both aftermarket and integrated systems, LED Lighting Systems, Under Car Lighting kits, Cruise Control, LED Headlights, Dash Cams, Radar Detectors, Trailer wiring, not a must to be able to install all products, just a sample of what's available
• Upsell opportunities, either directly to customers or thru sales staff. Customers are wanting to upgrade their ride... most shops don't take the time to offer
• Exploring new products and services to add to our list of ever-growing lines
• Perform vehicle condition checklist before and after installation, take pictures and point out problems or potential concerns either to the customer, sales, or management before touching the vehicle
• Keep area clean and organized
• Help with inventory receiving and get to management when no one else available
• Alert when installation is complete and provide pictures for social media. (company camera supplied)

• Be punctual and available for overtime
• 2+ years of verifiable job experience with 12v installations or mechanical background (will train the proper person)
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Tech savvy, computer nerd or Geek would be a plus
• Able to talk to customers to explain installed products and upsell opportunities
• Team player
• Must use tech support whenever necessary to solve issues... No need to re-invent the wheel
• Money motivated
• Computer experience, ie able to flash modules prior to installation/research when installation problems arise as well as being proactive to call tech support when issues arise
