Job Description

Ensures all standards of care are followed per state and insurance guidelines.
* Oversees client programming. Develops effective ways to implement ABA strategies and address problem behaviors. Interacts with clinical teams to communicate programming recommendations and implementation strategies.
* Uses the Caravel Autism Health (CAH) Qualities of Effective Treatment (QET), and clinical data to improve and adjust treatment programs to improve outcomes.
* In conjunction with the clinical team, the Lead BCBA will assess and determine whether a change in the level of care (increase or decrease hours) for a client would be clinically appropriate. If a change in the level of care is deemed appropriate, the Lead BCBA ensures the change is communicated to the family, clinical staff, and appropriate funding source.
* Completes appropriate reports and documentation critical to funding reimbursement processes.
* Proactively addresses client issues and follows-up as appropriate to ensure satisfactory resolution. Solicits feedback from parents/families regarding their satisfaction level with services provided. Ensures parent/family concerns are addressed and resolved in a timely and thorough manner.

* Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) with a minimum of 400 hours of hands-on training in providing ABA services directly to children and/or adults with autism under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst who has at least two years of experience in ABA programming for individuals with autism, or actively pursuing such certification.

Requirements
Availability to work full-time between the hours of 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday (Centers are open periodically on Saturdays for make-up client sessions.)
High school diploma or GED.
Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, social work, or a related field preferred.
Experience working with children with special needs preferred.
Strong work ethic and a positive, creative approach to problem-solving.
Must be 18 years old or older.

Responsibilities
* Assists BCBA with baseline and ongoing assessments of new clients using appropriate assessment protocols and procedures, probing skills listed on adaptive, developmental and functional behavior assessments via direct observation and data collection.
* In conjunction with BCBA and caregivers, implements programs to address socially significant needs of the client ensuring that therapy is conducted so that motivation of the client is used to establish and maintain cooperation, promote self-advocacy, autonomy and engagement.
* Ensures that indicators of assent and withdrawal of assent are noticed, honored, and measured. Works with BCBA to implement programming to promote communication skills to express assent and assent withdrawal.
* Creates, prepares and organizes instructional materials.
* Train and monitor BTs and RBTs in the implementation of programs, and behavioral intervention procedures, recording data and session notes; observing BTs and RBTs, implementing Behavioral Skills Training (BST), and providing ongoing clinical coaching.
* Works directly with the client, implementing new protocols, reviewing data on treatment targets/short-term goals, modifying existing protocols, progressing targets, and probing new skills or targets as directed by the BCBA.
* Uses clinical observation and highest-level technology (PathTap) at least weekly to ensure effective and efficient data-based decision making.
* Collaborates with family to implement programming and provides support to achieve prioritized family goals during Family Treatment Guidance sessions.
* Attends relevant workplace meetings as required.
* Communicates effectively with parents, caregivers, and other professionals as instructed concerning behavioral and therapeutic programming to ensure ongoing collaboration.
* Follows and abides by the BACB Ethics Code, Caravel ethical guidelines and policies, regulations, and laws and adheres to mandated reporting regulations.
Requirements
* A Bachelor's Degree is required.
* Must obtain RBT within 120 days of employment.
* At least 2,000 hours of training or supervised experience in the use of behaviorally based therapy models for children with autism spectrum disorders who meet all criteria to receive this service.
* Must be able to independently and repeatedly lift, move, and carry objects weighing up to thirty-five (35) lbs.
