Leading initiatives designed to improve processes or continuous improvement projects throughout the facility. Providing leadership to the team and challenging the status quo; interacting with employees on the floor and in an office setting. Influencing and understanding the business and culture strategy and translating the strategy into executable initiatives for their department. Interfacing with customers and suppliers to resolve issues and participating in regularly scheduled meetings ( this may include travelling a few times a year). Collaborating with cross-functional teams at all levels within the organization, specifically within HR and Operations groups daily. Cultivating positive relationships with peers and coworkers. Interviewing and making hiring decisions for supervisor, lead and niche roles. Developing the supervisory and employee population, which includes training, coaching, counseling and performance appraisals.
