Direct Sales is responsible for driving sales and services to new and/or existing customers through face-to-face or telephone contact to meet individual and organizational sales objectives. The primary purpose of the Sales Representative - Specialty Medical Products is to drive sales and achieve financial commitments from customers in an assigned geography/territory. This job is viewed as a trusted advisor to customers and works with them to provide solutions to their problems. In order to complete sales, this role not only requires an understanding of the clinical environment but must be able to identify and solve customer issues.

Responsibilities
* Responsible for driving sales and achieving sales goals across assigned product categories within assigned geography
* Identify, qualify, prepare, and execute effective sales strategies that maintain the existing base of business and support the close of competitive and revenue growth opportunities
* Lead territory opportunity development and activities that translate to accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual projections
* Effectively utilize and update sales tools to accurately address trends in existing base of business, create call strategies, and to manage territory and strategic business plans
* Master all products and applications by demonstrating ongoing competency
* Maintain and increase sales volume within assigned accounts and territory
* Coordinate and collaborate with regionally aligned field sales and clinical teams to drive incremental PR revenue and achieve target sales goals
* Identify new business opportunities, generate leads, close new business and convert accounts from competitor products
Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree preferred
* Minimum of 5 - 7 years of documented outside sales success in a competitive, sophisticated environment (complex capital or tangible products including medical/surgical, copiers, payroll solutions, information systems) preferred
* Medical Device industry experience preferred
* Key account development with experience accessing and developing key hospital decision-makers and influencers preferred
* Valid Driver's License
* Ability to travel domestically and within region often involving overnight stays and stays up to one week in duration
* Documented history of sales quota attainment/exceeding sales goals (2+ years) preferred
* Documented history of exceeding customer expectations preferred
* Ability to understand complex contracting and develop sound financial business case preferred

Responsibilities:
Calling on the post-acute care market including long-term care facilities, home health and hospice agencies and medical equipment providers;
Selling clinical and operational solutions to all levels of decision makers including owners, senior clinical officers and purchasing managers;
Selling products that include incontinence, skin care, DME, advance wound care and gloves;
Developing a strong knowledge base about Medline's very large product catalog and numerous value added programs and services;
Developing meaningful relationships with new customers and deepening relationships with existing ones;
Cold calling and prospecting to develop new business opportunities;
Presenting new products and initiatives; educating customers on current industry trends and regulations;

Required Experience:

Education and Experience Requirements
1-5 years of selling experience with a proven record. Medical related sales strongly preferred.

JOB OVERVIEW:

Sell DermACELL advanced decellularized dermis in hospitals for use in various reconstructive applications.
Regular activities include OR in servicing, formal/in-formal presentations, case proctoring, overcome clinical objections and lead identification/follow up.
Partner with MedEd team to drive customer and rep clinical education and awareness.
Education and Experience Requirements
1-5 years of selling experience with a proven record. Medical related sales strongly preferred.
Knowledge of the Operating Room environment preferred.
Excellent clinical selling skills and ability to build credibility with surgeons, OR staff and hospital administration.
Demonstrated verbal, written, interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.
Ability to multitask and identify new business.
A minimum education level of a bachelor's degree or equivalent of five (5) years of commercial sales experience or medical field experience that includes operating room experience.
Travel required depending upon territory coverage requirements (>50%).

Job Description
Responsibilities:
Calling on the non-acute care government market including emergency management, EMS, medical examiner offices, prisons, department of health, and board of commissioners offices;
• Selling clinical and operational solutions to all levels of decision makers including owners, senior clinical officers and purchasing/procurement managers;
• Selling products that include incontinence, skin care, DME, advance wound care, minor procedure kits, and gloves; Developing a strong knowledge base about Medline's very large product catalog and numerous value added programs and services;
• Developing meaningful relationships with new customers and deepening relationships with existing customers;
• Cold calling and prospecting to develop new business opportunities;
• Presenting new products and initiatives; educating customers on current industry trends and regulations;
• Preparing bids and negotiating contracts
• Taking ownership and leadership of your territory-- growing it like your own business
Required Experience:
Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of quota-based sales experience demonstrating a background in cold calling, commissioned, full-cycle sales experience OR at least 5 years of quota-based sales experience demonstrating a background in cold calling, commissioned, full-cycle sales experience.
Ability to sell effectively to different levels within a customer organization;
Proven ability to identify, connect with, and close new business; build consensus
Complex sales strategy/approach to sell solutions across multiple levels;
Background in commissioned, tangible product sales;
Track record of demonstrable sales growth and quota attainment;
Ability to present multiple product lines;
Excellent communication and organizational skills;
Stable work history;
Computer proficiency especially in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
Due to the nature of an outside sales representative position, the ability to drive a car, travel 80% and interact with healthcare providers on site is required.
This is a fully commissioned position, with commissions ranging between 0-5% net sales paid. This role is bonus eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
