**$20,000 Sign on bonus for eligible experienced CV Rad Techs!**

**This is a Full-Time position working in the Cath Lab at Northwest Medical Center.**

Performs complex, invasive cardiac procedures in the role for scrub tech and recording/monitoring tech. Is a part of a specialized health care team collaborating to provide invasive diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac exams.

Prepares written documentation as required by the profession and the department, regarding individualized treatment plans, evaluation results, and progress reports.

**Position Qualifications/Minimum Requirements**

**Education:**

Graduation from an accredited program in Radiologic technology required.

**Experience:**

One (1) year of Cath Lab or Special Procedures experience strongly preferred.

MRTBE & ARRT registration

American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) BLS & ACLS

The Invasive Cardiovascular Radiologic Technologist works closely with a Cardiologist while performing diagnostic, therapeutic and interventional cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures. On-Call rotations required.

Required Skills

Basic electrocardiogram and Physiological Pressures knowledge
Excellent communication and listening skills
Ability to work effectively under stressful situations



Required Experience


Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) by California Department of Public Health
Fluoroscopy permit issued by California Department of Public Health
Registered and certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)(RT)
BCLS




Preferred:



Licensed Radiologic technologist for at least 12 months
Training in Special Procedures or Cath Lab at least 6 months
Scrubbing of Invasive cardiovascular procedures
Knowledge and experience in sterile technique, establishing and maintaining sterile fields
ACLS certified

Eight Cath Lab Same Day Surgery rooms. Four Cardiac Cath Lab procedure rooms, nine Cardiologist with seven being interventionalist. Current hours of operation are 0630 to 1900. On-call one night per week for 3 hours at end of work shift. Located at the Healthplex campus on the second floor.

Responsibilities:
Assist with a variety of highly specialized procedures for Cath Lab patients.
Assists with preparation of the Patient including maintaining sterile environment during procedures.
Assists in the post procedural care of the patient to ensure optimal outcome and patient satisfaction thru discharge.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION

Completion of 24 month formal program or military program of Radiologic Technology with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist eligible and/or current RCIS.

EXPERIENCE

Previous Procedural Area experience preferred.

(Above requirements can be met by the equivalent combination of education and experience).

LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION

American Registry of Radiologic Technology.
Registered and/or RCIS.
Cardiovascular (CV) or (CI) and/or (VI) certification preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment.
ACLS training must be achieved within 6 months of hire and maintained through duration of employment.

OTHER KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES

Complete Cath Lab RT Orientation within 6 months.
Complete all competencies listed in department policy with in 6 months.
