Physical Demands: Incumbent must maintain good physical condition. Work demands range from periods of office work (walking, standing, sitting and lifting) to strenuous periods of extended and extreme physical and mental activity. EMS and search and rescue activities involve walking long distances over rough terrain, carrying heavy loads, and using technical rescue equipment. Assists residents to and from the dining room, and to and from activities
Checks on residents, ensures attendance at meals and activities
Checks on residents who are ill and reports status or concerns to appropriate individuals documents appropriately when necessary
Communicate verbally and in writing to report resident status, upcoming community information, resident appointments, admissions, and transfers
Assists new residents with move-in transition: provide emotional support
Reports all resident changes and interventions and interventions in the Daily Log and clinical record. Notifies family as directed.
Requirement
Requirements:
Must possess current CNA license from the State in which the community is located and in good standing with the Board of Nursing
Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in-writing
Must be organized and able to work well with all levels of personnel
Must be a contributing member of nursing team and follow instruction of supervisor
Must be polite and considerate of residents, visitors, and co-workers at all times
Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time
Must be able to lift 50 lbs, and push or carry 25 lbs
Must be able to safely lift and transfer residents while maintaining proper body mechanics
Must be in designated uniform during working hours, to include name badge and a smile
Must be CPR/First Aid certified, or be willing to become certified within 60 days of hire
Must be able to represent the community in a positive and professional manner
Must attend and complete all required in-services and staff meetings
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays
Completes all other duties as assigned

About the Job
As a Registered Medication Aide at Goodwin Living, you will provide care to the residents living in Assisted Living. Your primary role is to protect, sustain, nurture, administer medication to the residents, and provide assistance with activities of daily living and medication management.
Job Description
* Must be knowledgeable of potential medication reactions, and you must monitor resident for such reactions to medications.
* Promptly reports emergencies and other concerns to the appropriate clinician.
* Possesses the ability and knowledge to communicate to residents the purpose of their medications, the effects, and side effects as well as listen to their concerns and assist with problem solving and/or report to appropriate clinician.
* Assist in admission, transfer, and discharge of residents
* Measure and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respirations, weight, height, and anatomical dimension/circumference.
* Meet with the Interdepartmental Team as scheduled or as needed to discuss residents' needs and progress in identifying and correcting problems.
Job Requirements
* Must be certified as RMA and be current with mandatory annual update class
* Two to three years of experience as an RMA
* Graduate of an accredited CNA training course with minimum one year CNA experience
* Must have current CPR certification
