The Assistant Nurse Manager will provide assistance in various areas of the Emergency Department. This position is for 40 hours biweekly with flexibility in adding hours for coverage as needed. Full Time - 10 hour shifts - Weekends & Holidays as needed Job Summary: Responsible for the overall flow management and patient care activities on the nursing unit in accordance with the organizational and department philosophy and objectives. Assists the nurse director concerning staff performance for the preparation of individual staff performance appraisals. Participates in hiring and related staffing decisions. Has the authority to discipline where appropriate. Investigates and assesses all customer complaints, problems and incidents, which occur on shift. Takes appropriate corrective action to resolve complaint. Reports all incidents and actions taken to the on shift supervisor and nurse director. Specifications:. Bachelor s degree in Nursing and a minimum of 2 years job-related experience or equivalent is required. RI State Nursing Licensure required. The Providence Center Nurse Educator provides training and preceptorship to nurses at The Providence Center (TPC). The Nurse Educator works in coordination with nursing leadership to ensure the delivery of an excellent standard of care, which promotes independence and dignity and positively enhances the lives of our consumers. The Nurse Educator will act as a Nurse Planner for TPC, and assist the Director of Nursing and Clinical Training Manager in providing workshops and trainings that will provide CEUs to nurses. Full Time - 7pm - 730am Primary Function: The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) functions as a member of the inpatient healthcare team while delivering excellent care and exemplary customer service.
