Before you panic, you should know that there is no application fee, and the process is streamlined so that applying for Truman State also automatically submits your application for their scholarship program. In order to receive the greatest consideration for scholarships, students should submit their applications before December. Admissions at this school are based upon high school performance, specifically GPA, class rank, SAT and ACT scores, special abilities, and an essay. Students with a combined ability score of 140 or above will be the first to be considered. In order to determine your ability score, add your high school class rank percent to you national percentile on the ACT or SAT entrance exam. Academics include more than 40 areas of study including Russian, Communication Disorders, Computer Science and even Interdisciplinary Studies for students that require more flexibility from their education.
