Riverfront's mission is to "guide and support youth in developing the knowledge, responsibility, and the social skills necessary for productive citizenship." Riverfront also operates as a Career Center for students with the goal to link academic and occupational learning for each youth.

People who excel in this role have a minimum of two years of experience working in job placement or employment services and at least one year of youth-related experience. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Promotes enrollment in career programs through various recruiting activities with students and alumni at affiliate school districts. Coordinates and organizes multiple events such as elementary and middle school career activities, eighth grade tours, sophomore visits, presentations to students at affiliate schools, parent information sessions, shadowing days, counselor meetings, and other related activities. Provides follow up reports after each activity and tracks prospective students. Utilizes various sources of data effectively to promote student enrollment and success. Recruits, selects, and trains students to act as Great Oaks Ambassadors to assist with recruiting activities. Advises, supports, and leads the campus instructors and staff in individual and campus-wide recruiting efforts. Develops and maintains positive, professional working relationships with affiliate school counselors and staff. Collaborates with staff to support and implement work-based learning opportunities for students Provides support and communicates effectively with program instructors to build and maintain enrollment. Possesses and shares knowledge about career development, career pathways, and career programs. Assists students in making career choices and communicates with their parents. Maintains application and enrollment data and prepares detailed reports. Works closely with counselors while scheduling new students into appropriate classes and stays current with each affiliate school's credit requirements for graduation. Keeps current on Ohio Department of Education graduation requirements. Understands, supports, and promotes all district marketing initiatives. Displays and utilizes creativity to meet the ever-changing needs of students and parents for recruiting activities and materials. Designs and distributes promotional materials. Participates in affiliate school career fairs, curriculum fairs, and other affiliate school activities to represent Great Oaks as a means of connecting with prospective students and families. Demonstrates proficiency in Social Media and other technology resources to support recruiting and career development activities. Maintains up to date knowledge of technology utilized by the district. Must satisfy all job-related attendance requirements. A record free of criminal violations that would prohibit public school employment.

Primary Role

The Budget Specialist works directly with the Capital Program Manager to coordinate and administer the asset capital planning budget. This includes the design, project delivery and construction of water resource projects and performance of tasks.

Key Accountabilities


Effectively coordinate and administer functional support work processes for activities including asset capital planning, design, project delivery and construction to limited tasks for varying water resource system projects. Input and analyze data for department work processes, business systems and reports. Prepare variance reports as required. Assists in preparation of documents related to the investment budget. Assists in monitoring expenditures to budget according to the Capital Investment Management polices and procedures. Prepare and analyze or contribute to department or functional key performance indicator reports, balance scorecard reports, business performance reviews, and MD Reports. Support procurement of materials and services and effectively utilize business system and procurement agreements. Prepare and maintain files, records,drawings, reports, maps, charts, budgets and other data related to engineering and construction projects.



Knowledge/Skills



General knowledge of business practices and principles including basic budgeting and accounting. Good working knowledge of computer programs, databases and software to support specific assignments. Knowledge of water or other utility operations preferred.: Demonstrated organization and administrative skills. Good project/process management skills. Good analytical and problem solving skills. Good communication skills. Effective interpersonal skills.



Experience/Education



Associates Degree in a related field (Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Engineering Technology, etc.) A bachelor's degree is a plus 2+ years' work experience in a support role
