Local and travel candidates accepted at the same rate
Primary responsibilities include IV starts, patient monitoring, labs, medication administration, and patient education

Requirements

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit night shift position in Ohio, requiring an OH or compact RN license and EPIC charting experience.
Responsibilities
Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) of a hospital specializing in neurological and spine care
Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00-07:30
Rotating coverage of weeknights, weekends, and holidays required
Estimated patient ratios are 1:3-4
Floating to other units within the organization may be required
Uses EPIC electronic medical record system
May be required to float to other units within the organization as staffing needs dictate
Rotating holiday coverage is expected according to unit policy
Professional work attire or scrubs required as per hospital dress code
Requirements

Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position requiring current CVICU experience with immediate post-op cardiac recovery and Swan catheter management.
Responsibilities
Position is in a Cardiothoracic Surgical ICU within a hospital setting
Unit size includes 8 CVICU beds within a combined 30 bed ICU
Patient population includes immediate post-op CABG and TAVR patients, as well as critically ill cardiac surgical patients
Nurse-to-patient ratios range from 1:1 for fresh post-ops to 1:3 for stable patients, depending on acuity
Role involves care for intubated, ventilated patients and administration of critical drips with titration
Requires experience managing Swan catheters; experience with Impella, VAD, IABP, and CRRT is preferred
Limited tech support with primarily total patient care responsibilities
12-hour night shifts with every other weekend and every other holiday required
EPIC EMR charting experience required
Navy blue scrubs required
Will not consider local candidates within a 50-mile radius
Responsible for all aspects of patient care, including assessment, planning, implementing treatments, and evaluating patient response
Care includes hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, and use of advanced cardiac support devices
May need to care for patients with multi-system organ failure or trauma
Pass/fail EKG testing is administered on the first day with study guides available
Must wear navy blue scrubs
Holiday and every other weekend coverage required
Ancillary support varies depending on census and availability
Requirements
Active OH or compact RN license required
Current BLS certification required
Minimum of 2 years recent CVICU RN experience required
Current experience recovering immediate post-op CABG and TAVR patients required
Proven experience managing Swan-Ganz catheters required
Must pass EKG exam on first day (2 attempts provided)
Experience charting with EPIC EMR required
ACLS must be obtained within 6 months of hire
