Maintain accurate documentation of medication administration, medication effectiveness and any noted adverse actions or side effects, in accordance with established policy and procedures, standards of care and applicable state/federal regulations. Accurately and safely manage, monitor and store medications in accordance with established policies and procedures and applicable state/federal regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of medication carts and any equipment and supplies. Immediately report any equipment or supply issues to management. Assure that medications are timely re-ordered and procedures are followed when medications are delivered. Attend and participate in in-services as required by federal, state and company requirements. Perform simple procedures as an extension of therapy services under the direction and supervision of the nurse, e.g. range of motion exercises, assistance in ambulation or exercises. Performs personal care activities including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, skin care/nail care, oral hygiene, shaving, dressing, and others as directed/requested. Assists in dining rooms as assigned to provide resident care and monitoring. Initiates and participates in leisure activities provided for residents. Encourages residents to socialize and participate in planned activities or programs and to develop friendships with other residents.
