The Administrative / CaregiverAssistant must demonstrate the Agency's purpose, philosophy, policies and procedures. The Administrative / CaregiverAssistant works as a team member and oversees the day to day activities and needs of the residents in care. This position will report to the Winston Salem, NC location as well as support occassional duties at the Marshville, NC location. The Administrative / CaregiverAssistant position is part-time, 20hrs/wk.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Meets the general qualifications for employment as outlined in the Agency's personnel policies.
Must be at least 21 years of age
Has at least high school diploma, or equivalent, with advanced education preferred.
No prior experience is required, but preferred.
Meets qualifications of paraprofessional as outlined by Divisions of Facility Services and Mental Health, State of North Carolina.
Education, experience, skills, and abilities compatible with the responsibilities outlined in this job description.

EQUIPMENT:
Ability to work with Microsoft applications. Able to operate standard kitchen equipment. Must be able to drive a 12-passenger van and get in and out of the van unassisted.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, write and complete necessary documentation. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from supervisors, parents, therapeutic programs, counselors and team members and others with the scope of I/DDM.
CONTACT WITH OTHERS:
Regular contact with colleagues in all departments, as well as with outside individuals and groups; should represent Baptist Children's Homes of NC, Inc. in a positive manner. Contacts outside of the agency where proper handling of situations is of utmost importance as the agency's image could be affected.
MENTAL / VISUAL / AUDITORY DEMAND:
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form and ability to draw conclusions.

The Comforted Kitty is contracting with independent cat sitters in the Winston-Salem metro area. This is a 1099 independent contractor role (not W-2). You choose your availability and service area; we match you with clients based on fit and demand.
What You'll Do
Provide in-home cat sitting for drop-ins and overnights
Follow client instructions precisely: food, water, litter, enrichment
Support meds when applicable (based on your skill level and comfort)
Keep the home tidy + handle small tasks (mail, plants, trash)
Send updates after each visit (notes + photos) via our app
Service Types
Drop-in visits: 30 / 45 / 60 minutes (1-3x daily)
Overnights: 10-hour stays in the client's home
24-hour live-in care: overnight + staying in client's home most of daytime

Must have:
18+ and cat care experience (professional not required, but real experience is)

Professionalism entering and working in clients' homes
Strongly preferred:
Medication experience (oral meds, injections, fluids) and/or Pet First Aid/CPR
Availability during peak times (especially winter holidays)

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Education
High School diploma or GED required.
Experience
Minimum six (6) months of supervised experience as a Nurse Aide in a skilled nursing or acute care setting (one year preferred).
Certifications & Qualifications
Must have completed a state‑approved Certified Nursing Assistant program with current certification.
Must be at least 18 years old preferred; candidates ages 16-17 may be limited per Department of Labor regulations and cannot operate power‑driven hoisting equipment.
Active listing with no substantiated findings on the state Nurse Aide Registry.
May require a written or manual competency test for Level 1 In‑Home Aide duties.
Must complete a minimum of 12 documented in‑service hours annually.
Must possess a valid driver's license, proof of insurance, reliable transportation, and meet EveryAge auto insurance requirements.
