Basic infection control. 6. Universal precautions. 7. Handling of emergencies. 8. Documentation. 9. Recognizing and reporting abuse or neglect, and 10. Dealing with difficult behaviors. Essential Duties/Responsibilities: 1. Provides general attention to patient's non-medical needs in accordance with an established Plan of Care. 2. Provides one-to-one home care services. [1] 3. Provides companionship for the Patient including, but not limited to: talking and listening, reading aloud, providing social and emotional support, 4. Promotes the Patient's mental alertness through involvement in activities of interest. Provides emotional support and promotes a sense of well-being, 5. Provides for a dean, safe, and healthy environment for Patients and family members. Provides light and/or heavy housekeeping tasks including laundering of Patient's garments and linens, 6.
