A typical day in the life of a Radiologist Technologist, includes: Collaborating with other staff members to ensure patient care. Preparing patient for radiological procedures. Minimizing radiation to patient and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques Maintaining production and quality of radiographs by following established standards and procedures. Maintaining radiology supplies inventory. When not performing X-Rays, the Radiologist Technologist will conduct lab call backs, lab documentation and support the center by completing key roles and duties by utilizing their patient care skills. Education & Experience: Associates or Bachelor's Degree Current state ARRT license, required. Experience in urgent care/emergency room settings preferred Our centers are open (7) days per week 8AM to 8PM. Full-time employees must be able to work three 12-hours shifts per week including every other weekend. Document imaging exams in electronic health record and PACS. Check schedules for add-ons, changes, and correct orders. Assist in scheduling patients for tests and give proper instructions. Contact providers for new and updated orders. Register patients as needed. Perform Phlebotomy. Run inhouse lab tests. Prepare lab samples for shipment. Perform other related duties as needed. Position Requirements: Two-year degree in radiography required. 1+ years related work experience preferred. Must hold and maintain ARRT certification. Must hold and maintain radiography license from the state of Wisconsin. BLS certification required or obtained within 3 months of hire. Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required. Maintains compliance with continuing education requirements through professional journals, on the job training, and other educational opportunities. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Intermediate to expert proficiency with computers is required. Requires assessment, evaluation, and decision-making skills.
