Job Purpose and Impact
The Advisor, Platform Engineering job leads designing, developing and maintaining digital technology infrastructure to support information technology applications and services. As a recognized subject matter authority in platform engineering, this job leads and advises cross functional teams to define, design and implement new features to meet user needs and business goals and upgrade existing platforms to improve performance and functionality through writing clean, efficient and scalable code and troubleshooting and debugging highly complex issues. This job also leads code reviews to maintain high code quality and advance platform engineering teams' capabilities.
Essential Functions
ARCHITECTURE AND SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT: Leads the design and development of high quality software solutions by developing sustainable technology roadmaps, maintainable system and data integration and efficient codes.
AUTOMATION: Advises to improve the application of internal software deployment platform, continuous integration or continuous delivery pipeline and twelve factor development methodology to automate the deployment process, ensuring smooth and reliable releases.
COLLABORATION: Leads cross functional team of product managers, designers and other engineers to gather requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT: Proposes continuous improvement initiatives for the software development and deployment processes, and leads implementing approved standards to improve efficiency and reliability.

Possess advanced technical skills in the mechanical/electrical fields (e.g. PLCs, instrumentation, mechanical engineering, etc.) and is able to lead resource planning efforts in a large manufacturing environment.
Thorough knowledge of maintenance systems, work order process, preventive/predictive maintenance, TPM, etc.
Ability to use exposure monitoring equipment, interpret and communicate results.
Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word.
Capable of communicating and expressing ideas clearly and concisely, in both written and oral formats.

Required Qualifications:
