Job Purpose and Impact
The Stockroom Supervisor will oversee the stockroom operations in a plant. In this role, you will supervise procurement transaction processes and inventory and procurement records, provide location procurement support, plan and foster supplier relationships. You will implement sourcing strategies as well as resource and budget management.
Key Accountabilities
* Directly supervise the day-to-day operations of a warehouse or stockroom.
* Ensure accurate information is entered into procurement and inventory management systems.
* Optimize inventory levels for short and longer term within the warehouse and stockroom in order to support plant/location operations.
* Ensure warehouse and stockroom operations align with strategic sourcing strategies and policies.
* Contribute to plan material and obsolescence management as well as maintain condition strategies to provide operational effectiveness.
* Partner with vendors and contract adherence related to maintenance repair and operations stores activities.
* Participate in integrated maintenance processes for smooth work management integration.

Key Responsibilities
Supervises the day-to-day activities of a team of entry level individual contributors and/or supervisors. Provides guidance, coaching, and support to ensure successful delivery of team goals. Monitors key performance indicators including safety, efficiency, waste, downtime, labor costs, and industrial accidents. Responsible for identifying and resolving gaps in efficiency and quality.
Directs HACCP plan to achieve USDA requirements and guides in bird related issues.
Develops, oversees, and executes departmental project work linked to company goals.

Maintain HESQ compliance as the top priority:
Ensures all AIMS policies, procedures and processes are followed by all shift teams (SWP, MOC, Atlas, EDMS, Shift Change, MyLearning). Auditing will be a key aspect in driving to the desired results.
Participates and supports MOC, PSSR, Startup Permits, and PHA activities for the Houston Site.
Ensures that all incidents are reported.
Ensures that operating procedures are followed, updated, and if necessary, created for tasks.
Supports Safe Work Permitting process (review, approve, audits, etc.).
Demonstrates commitment to all HESQ matters through high visibility and actions.
Deliver planned production to meet customer demand:
Drives and develops operating disciplines (complete shift handoff, complete logbook write-ups, accurate procedures, dedicated procedure use, timely and effective training).
Working with the Supervisors, defines required staffing for all activities (normal operations, shutdown, startup, turnaround, etc.).
Working with the Supervisors, ensures all scheduling and attendance activities (electronic schedules, vacation preferences, absenteeism records, Kronos, etc.) comply with Arkema policies and procedures.
Coordinates activities between shift teams and day staff technical support.
Communicates plant status and needs using logbook, email, verbal exchange, etc.
Lead and develop the Operations Shift Teams to a high-level of performance:
Working with the Supervisors, leads performance management process for all Operators on shift - midyear and annual performance reviews, goal setting, recognition, coaching, formal discipline, etc. Driving consistency in performance management across all shifts is a critical deliverable.
Working with the Training Specialist, supports and manages training and development for all shift teams.
Coaches and develops Supervisors via periodic meetings, in house training and outside learning.
Serve as backup to the Operations Manager in their absence, specific duties include:
Communicates plant status to inform plant and business stakeholders (daily, weekly).
Ensures Operations input to S&OP continues (daily, weekly)
Reviews and approves purchase requisitions, safety variances, and environmental reports within delegation of authority, and obtains verbal approval from the Operations Manager when appropriate.
As requested by supervision, completes tasks/activities which support the success of the Houston Plant.
Required Education/Qualifications/Work experience
BS in Chemical Engineering from an accredited university is preferred
7+ year's relevant technical and manufacturing experience
Prefer a minimum 3 years' experience leading a team within a technical and/or manufacturing environment
Ability to understand and troubleshoot chemical processing to achieve production goals.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills to communicate with hourly workforce, business leaders, customers, and company's technical organization.
Previous experience managing direct/indirect reports will be a plus.
Excellent judgment and problem analysis skills are required as well as tolerance for stress. Ability to understand and troubleshoot chemical process operations in order support effective operations.

Reviews operational schedules, coordinates production/testing activities, and manages team member assignments; may manage for multiple departments and/or shifts
Assists with tasks such as monitoring and determining manufacturing costs and outlay, quality and quantity of goods produced, production methods, tooling applications and ensures the effective use of production hours, skills, machines, equipment and facilities
Interacts with engineers to modify machines, equipment and/or processes to improve safety, production and overall quality; provides liaison support between plant and engineering to ensure efficient manufacturing processes
Uses data to estimate work-hour requirements and departmental efficiencies for continuous improvement projects. Recommends and initiates projects; sees those projects through to deadline with measurable improvements
Manages costs and budgets and provide corrective action plans to improve budgetary control
Inspects materials and finished product for quality compliance as required
Perform full range of managerial responsibilities which may include but not be limited to: interviewing, hiring, coaching and developing employees; planning, assigning and directing work; EEO/AA; performance management; department budget
Perform other duties as assigned
Job Skills Requirements
Knowledge of manufacturing equipment, procedures and production/quality standards
Demonstrated ability to work with multiple internal departments to ensure on-time delivery of quality product
May require in-depth ability to read, interpret and explain blueprints, engineering drawings, job orders and specifications based on location
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with and motivate a diverse group of employees
Advanced ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of personnel and production problems
Strong computer skills and familiarity with office productivity software and business control software such as SAP
Ability to work in a busy, fast-paced production environment, often under time constraints
Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location

Experience Requirements
Minimum of three years of experience in a manufacturing environment including previous experience managing personnel in a production environment with High school diploma
Minimum of one year of experience in a manufacturing environment with Bachelor's degree
Experience working in multiple departments preferred
Experience with continuous improvement methods and teams, or cost reduction initiatives showing tangible results
