Responsibilities
Scheduler -
Acts as the point person and lead for all matters related to scheduling staff.
Thoroughly understands and uses the master staffing schedule extensively.
Uses multiple staffing tools intricately and possesses an in-depth understanding staffing to census expectations.
Troubleshoots and effectively problem-solves staffing complexities with minimum supervision.
Displays understanding of PPD metric and how to staff accordingly.
Maintains regular, consistent communication with DON/ADON to ensure coordination of staffing.
Maintains accuracy of nursing schedule in Kronos and all required tracking.
Prepares daily staffing sheets with continual revisions as necessary.
Follows company policies for staffing as well as budgeted guidelines for assignment of staff.
Completes a listing of vacant nursing positions for DON weekly.
Schedules staff time off requests according to established guidelines and the DON/ADON's approval/direction.
Ensures at least one other staff member is trained on the scheduler's position in the event of vacation, sick leave, vacancy, etc.
Identifies critical or difficult to fill positions/shifts and takes proactive action to balance the schedule.
Reviews daily exception logs for payroll and assists with payroll preparation for the nursing and nursing admin department.
Communicates regularly with agency contacts and maintains positive, proactive business relationships.
Collaborates with human resources regarding policy implementation, compliance for new staff (both internal and agency) and properly communicates all staff requests (e.g. status changes).
Displays professionalism and ability to work in a high volume, fast-paced environment.

Nurse Technician (CNA):
Provides individuals with Activities of Daily Living (ADL) care and services including, but not limited to, keeping individuals dry i.e.,changing bed/crib linens, assisting individuals with bowel and bladder functions, assisting with lifting, turning, moving, positioning, and transporting individuals into and out of beds, chairs, wheelchairs, lifts, etc., assisting individuals to walk with or without self-help devices.

Prepares individuals for meals and assists with the serving and feeding of meals as indicated in individual's care plan.
Completes clinical duties including preforming range of motion, emptying ostomy bags, and obtaining vital signs following training and competency assessment.
Performs routine housekeeping duties (i.e., cleaning equipment, toys, spills, etc.) before leaving work area for breaks or at the end of the workday; stores all tools, equipment and supplies properly.
Reports all changes in the individual's condition to the supervisor as soon as possible.
Responsible for performing all assigned tasks in accordance with the established policies and procedures under the direction of a supervisor.

The Transport RN is responsible for planning, organizing and assisting with transport of assigned individuals to off-site appointments. Responsibilities
Day-to-Day tasks include, but are not limited to:

Screen and provide an in-depth evaluation of the needs of ventilator & respiratory clients
Consult with the attending physician regarding treatment protocol and make written recommendations for interdisciplinary care planning and treatment
Inform residents or qualified representative about care and treatment plan and possible outcomes of treatment, or lack of treatment if resident refuses participation in a respiratory rehabilitation program
Identify problems and develop a complete plan of care according to facility/unit policy and federal/state regulations
Initiate ventilator weaning protocol and/or respiratory rehabilitation in accordance with the physician's orders; maintain required contact with physician
Maintain written records, evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries of residents receiving respiratory treatment and monitoring according to state, federal, and facility policies
Attend, as necessary, and provide input at the Resident Care Planning (RCP) meetings for interdisciplinary team and the Resident/Family Care Plan Review Meeting; complete required documentation after the meetings
Record resident's plan of care in the Interdisciplinary Care Plan as required or as needed
Contribute to the completion of the Minimum Data Set (MDS) within the established time frame and incorporate the results in the plan of care when appropriate
Confer with personnel of other departments and provide required training to meet special needs of residents
Qualifications
Valid PA State license/registration to practice as Registered Licensed Nurse (RN)
Minimum of two (2) years (RN) nursing experience
Associates of Nursing required; Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Pediatric experience strongly preferred
Ability to supervise and work well with other personnel required
Qualities of maturity, diplomacy, and ability to work well with others required
Caring, respectful attitude towards residents required

Correct stickers on all phones in personal care resident rooms and nurses station
Check that all lights are working: bathrooms, nightlight, light next to bed, hall lights, and lights in common areas.
All personal care residents must have a working light next to bed.
Check all refrigerators for thermometers. Make sure they are working properly and maintain a temperature between 38 and 40 degrees.
Check refrigerators for expired food items or moldy items. Discard if necessary. Make sure items are dated, and residents or staff's name is placed on items for refrigerators in common areas.
Covered trash cans for residents that are incontinent
Bedspreads, blankets and sheets must be in good condition.
Check to make sure toilet seats and commode chairs are in good repair.
Check for leaking faucets and leaking toilets. Report any problems
All empty rooms must be cleaned regularly.
Rugs that need to be shampooed must be cleaned. This includes resident rooms, common areas and elevators. Also, walls of elevators.
Make sure all furniture is in good working order.
Rugs must be kept clean
Common bathrooms must be checked regularly
Make sure batteries are working in battery air fresheners
Make sure bathroom fans are working
Make sure all bathroom fan vents are cleaned
Keep cart is kept locked when away from cart. Do not keep personal drinks or items on cart.

Qualifications
