Position Summary The Senior Accounts Payable Payment Specialist is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of payments for goods and services. This role is critical in ensuring that sensitive financial information is transmitted securely and high-volume payments are processed accurately. Payment processing formats will include check, ACH, wire, and payment portals as well as internal account transfers. This position is located at the Irving, TX headquarters of Caris Life Sciences, directly reporting to the Senior Manager-Accounts Payable, and will work closely with the Finance, Accounting, and Treasury teams to produce accurate and timely transactional processing related to purchasing and financial operations. The successful candidate will utilize strong business understanding, accounts payable payment expertise, solid communication skills, and keen attention to detail to become an effective team member at every level of the organization, understanding business objectives and providing insightful accurate reporting in support of those objectives. The PSV must know when and who to ask for additional information and ensure that representations they make are supported by research. The PSV must be able to identify and surface clinical studies that need to be conducted to support growth in the market. The candidate will join a team of molecular scientists and directors in our oncology-focused molecular genetics laboratory in Phoenix, Arizona. PathGroup is seeking an AP/CP Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Pathologist to join a busy, collegial practice serving a rapidly growing community in the greater Dallas-Fort Worth region. This full-time position offers an excellent opportunity to become part of a collaborative two-physician team, with plans to expand to three pathologists as the hospital completes its major renovations and clinical volume continues to rise. This practice provides comprehensive general surgical and cytopathology services, with a wide variety of case types and a well-balanced daily workload. The group is well established in the region, maintaining long-standing relationships with multiple hospitals and outpatient centers. Practice Overview The team currently signs out 40-60 cases per day, including both surgical specimens and cytologies. The case mix spans GI biopsies and resections, colon and breast pathology, thyroid FNAs, body fluids, and occasional frozen sections. The volume is expected to increase further once hospital expansion is complete. The practice is 80% digital. All surgical biopsies are digitized for review, while cytology is the remaining area pending full digital conversion. The pathologists work on-site daily, with flexibility to accommodate occasional remote work as the team grows. Call responsibilities are minimal, shared on a 1-in-3 rotation, and typically light. The group has strong internal coverage, enabling vacation flexibility and consistent support. This is a high-volume yet well-balanced practice where collaboration, quality, and efficiency are valued. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Receives and clocks in specimens from couriers timely; verifies that specimens recorded on courier logs are received. Prioritizes and sorts specimens appropriately for accessioning and processing. Performs data entry login of patient demographics, clinical information, specimen source, and test(s) orders from specimen requisitions into computer systems and accessions specimen containers as needed or required. Checks test(s) ordered for medical necessity requirements and ABN if applicable. Documents any orders, which are lacking appropriate documentation to supervisor. Position Summary The Senior Accounts Payable Payment Specialist is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of payments for goods and services. This role is critical in ensuring that sensitive financial information is transmitted securely and high-volume payments are processed accurately. Payment processing formats will include check, ACH, wire, and payment portals as well as internal account transfers. This position is located at the Irving, TX headquarters of Caris Life Sciences, directly reporting to the Senior Manager-Accounts Payable, and will work closely with the Finance, Accounting, and Treasury teams to produce accurate and timely transactional processing related to purchasing and financial operations. The successful candidate will utilize strong business understanding, accounts payable payment expertise, solid communication skills, and keen attention to detail to become an effective team member at every level of the organization, understanding business objectives and providing insightful accurate reporting in support of those objectives. Job Responsibilities Process weekly payments, utilizing check, ACH, and wire formats Manage purchasing and credit card payments in ERP system and payment portals Handle employee reimbursement batches and payments Generate weekly payables aging and payment reports Void and reissue payments as needed Prepare wire packets with appropriate documentation and approvals Process wire payables and payments in ERP system Distribute and mail paper checks with required documentation Research stale-dated checks and prepare escheatment records Verify supplier banking information to support fraud prevention Support internal and external audit requests Perform ad hoc payment and research tasks as needed Participate in special projects and initiatives within the Accounting department Collaborate with AP, Finance, Accounting, and Treasury teams to improve processes Ensure policies, procedures, and documentation are current and accurate Help standardize workflows for efficiency in a growing environment Required Qualifications High school diploma 3+ years accounts payable experience 1+ years payment processing experience, including bank wire transfers and foreign currency transactions Strong attention to detail and thoroughness Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and meet deadlines Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook, and general working knowledge of Internet for business use Preferred Qualifications Associate degree in accounting or related field Oracle software experience is a plus CashPro experience is a plus Physical Demands Must possess ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time Must possess ability to perform repetitive motion Training All job specific, safety, and compliance training are assigned based on the job functions associated with this employee Conditions of Employment: Individual must successfully complete pre-employment process, which includes criminal background check, drug screening, credit check ( applicable for certain positions) and reference verification.
