As a Strategic Account Manager (SAM), your primary responsibility is to orchestrate all interactions and business development activities with account customers, fostering strong, long-term partnerships. Your main activities and responsibilities include:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Account Strategy and Goal Setting: Understand customers' business, technical, and organizational needs. Align with HQ and regional teams on long-term aspirations and set timely goals to drive results.
Partnership Management: Map, build, and strengthen multi-level relationships between Rigaku and key stakeholders within the customers' organization. Organize executive meetings, TRMs, technical workshops, etc.
Customer Escalations and Requests: Coordinate regional support teams and HQ to address customer escalations and CIP requests. Enhance overall customer satisfaction with Rigaku's support and products.
Business Development: Collaborate with applications, service, and technical development teams to explore new business opportunities. Align customer and Rigaku roadmaps to drive early entry into new application areas and fab locations within the account.
Cross-Site Communication: Create and set the narrative that advances the account strategy. Ensure alignment across all account sites to present a unified voice to customers.
Deal Structuring and Commercial Coordination: Negotiate profitable and fair deals. Manage all commercial items effectively, including NDAs, RFI/RFP/RFQ responses, Evaluation Agreements, PA/CPA, lead times, forecasts, POs, and any commercial escalations.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position requires frequent travel to customer sites, including industrial and manufacturing locations, which may involve exposure to varying environmental conditions such as noise, dust, heat, and outdoor weather. The role also includes time spent in a typical office setting for administrative tasks, customer communication, and planning. Flexibility and adaptability to diverse work settings are essential for success in this role.
Qualifications
Education:
PhD or Masters preferred; Physics, Chemistry or Engineering
Experience:
Over 5 years of experience in capital equipment field application, marketing, account management, or business development within the industry. Experience with metrology tools is preferred.
Proven track record of managing and growing strategic accounts.
Experience working with cross-functional teams (e.g., Applications, Service, Product, Customer Procurement, etc.).
Technical proficiency with CRM software, presentation tools, and other sales enablement tools.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required to meet business needs.
Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

The Process Engineer is responsible for optimizing manufacturing methods and processes from product start-up to production. The Field Reimbursement Director position is a provider / customer facing role responsible for delivering compliant payer coverage, coding and reimbursement information regarding Cepheid on market diagnostics. This role will cross functionally collaborate with sales, marketing and the value and access team to effectively coordinate and engage targeted customers within the US.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Market Access Americas, this highly visible role will play a pivotal role supporting commercial customer engagement and responding to customer inquiries in the southeast of the US..
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
+ Provide education to internal colleagues, healthcare providers, lab professionals, office staff and financial decision makers on Cepheid diagnostics coverage, coding and reimbursement landscape.
+ Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of national, regional and local coverage and reimbursement issues for Medicare, Medicaid and Commercial payers through internal meetings, payer research, and customer meetings.
+ Proactively and reactively navigate and address customer inquiries relating to payer coverage, coding and reimbursement.
+ Support customers with approved resources for denied claims, payer coverage expansion and inadequate reimbursement.
+ Respond to and coordinate with sale colleagues request for virtual / on-site customer business reviews, coverage and reimbursement support.
The essential requirements of the job include:
+ Bachelor's with 12+ years of related work experience OR Master's degree in field with 8+ years of related work experience.
+ 7+ years market access experience working directly with customers in pharmaceutical, biotech or diagnostics (preferred)
+ Demonstrated knowledge of all payer segments (e.g. Commercial, Medicare, Medicaid)
+ Demonstrated and presentation skills
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
+ 2+ years marketing / sales experience (commercial operations, Sales training, sales, marketing)
+ Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word expertise
+ Leading without authority
+ Payer Medical / Diagnostic Policy review and interpretation
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
+ This position requires up to 50% domestic travel within the named region

The salary range for this role is $170,000 - $220,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
