- Pediatric Med/Surg- Postop care, acute illness support, chronic illness management and teaching, failure to thrive care and education, hyperbilirubinemia
- PAC-High-flow oxygen requirements, frequent vital or other assessment monitoring
- PICU- Diabetic Ketoacidosis, complex multi-trauma, neurological injury patients, uncontrolled seizures, noninvasive and invasive ventilation support, shock requiring vasopressors, organ donation, and end-of-life care.

We strive to provide thorough, multidisciplinary focused care, partnered with our Child Life Team, Pediatric Hospitalists and Intensivists, Pediatric Surgeons, Physical/Occupational/Speech Therapist, Pediatric Pharmacist, and Social workers.
• Our Pediatric Partnership Council meets monthly to access unit needs. We have two unit-based educators, a quality outcomes coordinator, a nurse supervisor, a nurse manager and several Unit Nurse Leaders.

The Carle Foundation is a vertically integrated healthcare system with almost 17,000 employees, a multi-specialty physician group, eight hospitals, and health plans. Carle also collaborates extensively with the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (Illinois) in a number of initiatives. These include the Carle Illinois College of Medicine, the world's first engineering-based medical school, and the Carle Illinois Advanced Imaging Center (CIAIC).
In addition to the primary appointment at Carle, additional academic appointments are possible in the relevant Illinois departments and at the Beckman Institute for Advanced Science and Technology. Carle is making a multi-million dollar investment in its research infrastructure, including CCIRP, CIAIC, clinical trials management, investigator-initiated support services, and other initiatives.
The CIAIC's principal focus is a 7T Siemens TERRA whole-body MRI scanner, an FDA-approved system that is used for both research and clinical purposes and that is the only such system in the State of Illinois. Carle also has a Siemens 3T Prisma system, a 3T Vida system and two Siemens 1.5T Sola systems that are available for research. CCIRP has existing research programs in MRI physics, translational and clinical neuroimaging at 7T, and musculoskeletal MRI at 3T and 7T.
Applicants are sought who will diversity this portfolio in areas such as pharmacologic MRI, movement disorders, cancer imaging, psychiatry, or other clinical neuroimaging research applications. The successful applicant will be expected to conceptualize, develop, and lead translational and clinical research projects involving 7T MRI; establish and lead a research group; and establish and sustain an independent externally-funded research program. In addition, the successful applicant will provide leadership and key technical expertise in collaborative imaging research projects among Carle basic science and clinical researchers and with investigators and students at Illinois.

Transfers and verifies image data in PACS and other digital and reporting systems providing necessary medical history and information for MFM provider interpretation. Utilizes the web servers and email systems to send exams for preliminary readings after hours.
Responsible for maintaining imaging equipment and workplace environment including maintaining supply inventories and orderliness of work area. Recognizes malfunctions and service needs and reports service needs in a timely manner.
Ensures patient, visitor and environmental safety. Reports safety events immediately including those that are a near miss.
Assists in instruction of students and new staff as necessary. May perform duties of Sono Lead or Imaging Coordinator in his/her absence.
Meets productivity levels as established by department benchmarking. Assists other areas during downtimes so to maintain productivity.
May be required to perform duties of other modalities within the department to which licensers are held by the technologist/sonographer.
