1920

Carling Technologies Inc., founded in 1920 and home of the Carlingswitch brand, has a diverse line of products that serve a multitude of markets.

1978

In 1978, Carling Technologies introduced its internally designed and manufactured hydraulic magnetic circuit breaker line.

1998

Continuing its heritage of innovative design, in 1998 Carling expanded its product breadth for the Telecommunications Industry, by introducing custom designed Power Distribution Units or PDUs.

1999

Jennifer S. Buddenhagen, Chief Marketing Officer Jennifer started in 09/06/1999 as Director of Marketing.

2001

Richard W. Sorenson, Jr., Vice President, COO, Maretron & Vice President, Octoplex Systems Richard started in 10/21/2001 as Director of Strategic Markets.

In 2001, Carling's eightieth anniversary, the corporate name changed from Carlingswitch to Carling Technologies in order to recognize the broadening of product offerings and the greatly increased complexity of these products.

2004

Acquired Moritz in 2004.

Christopher T. Sorenson, Chief Operating Officer Christopher started in 11/15/2004 as Director of International Sales.

2010

In 2010, Carling focused on product line development to support its Global Strategic Market portfolio, including Marine, On/Off Highway, Military, Renewable Energy and Telecom/Datacom, releasing the following innovative products:

2012

Sold aerospace division and integrated marine division in 2012.
