Carlmont High School company history timeline

1929

Brewer Island (pre development into Foster City) is visible at center in the upper portion of the image with the 1929 San Mateo-Hayward Drawbridge at upper right.

1960

When San Carlos High opened, enrollment in the high school district reached its all time high of 9,300, 1000 students over the the enrollment of the previous year. It opened in September of 1960, with an enrollment of 1,015 students, and 56 faculty members.

1977

Coaching Carlmont football from 1977-91, he compiled a 113-42-6 mark, with six league championships and one CCS title.

1988

He spent 32 years there, retiring from full-time duties in 1988.

1989

An unprecedented three-time San Mateo County softball player of the year, she led the Scots to a Central Coast Section championship in 1989, posting a 24-3 record, with 253 strikeouts and an 0.18 ERA in 157 innings.

1990

Plaque includes image of Nyberg and a brief biography: "Almost from the moment she stepped onto the bucolic Belmont campus of Carlmont High in the 1990's, Tori Nyberg was a pitching phenom.

1992

Wood and acrylic plaque commemorating Bill Ring of Carlmont High School. who was inducted into the San Mateo County Sports Hall of Fame on May 19, 1992.

1996

Plaque commemorating Ed Berry being inducted into the San Mateo County Sports Hall of Fame on May 23, 1996.

2007

Wood and acrylic plaque commemorating Mark Speckman of Carlmont High School and Menlo College who was inducted into the San Mateo County Sports Hall of Fame on June 21, 2007.

2014

2016
