ENRICHMENT INSTRUCTOR COORDINATOR DUTIES
• Teach after-school enrichment class once or multiple times a week for 5 - 10 weeks at a time in topics including but not limited to: languages, sports, art, performance, cooking, STEM, coding, and/or technology.
• Develop and facilitate a full syllabus with lesson plans for enrichment activities that are approved by the Enrichment Manager and meet the needs of the program and students.
• Manage students' check-in and out of the program and follow all program protocol as instructed.
• Source and secure materials, track expenses and submit reimbursements where necessary.
• Use proper safety protocols for indoor and outdoor settings by clearly defining safety expectations.
• Have basic knowledge of age-appropriate classroom and behavior management skills - Staff members routinely and effectively use classroom management techniques like setting expectations, appropriate consequences, attention-getters, and incentives.
• Effectively communicates verbally and in writing information that is critical to the successful operations of the program, including accidents, injuries, and behavior issues.

• Maintain close communication with direct supervisor and regularly provide student attendance tracking data, program progress and concerns as set forth by the continuous quality improvement process.
• Lead and assist in preparing a creative environment using academic, cultural and recreational enrichment including the preparation of needed supplies and materials. Monitors supply needs and informs direct supervisor when supplies are needed.
• Use age-appropriate methods that include facilitating of active and engaging learning experiences.
• Actively supervise students during program activities, always ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
• Maintain professional attitude, rapport and appearance with all program stakeholders.
• Communicate with school staff, legal guardians regarding program activities, student needs, academic performance and upcoming events..
• Attend all required staff meetings and professional development opportunities to expand knowledge and skills.
• Supervise student participants to ASAS-LA field trips and events as needed.
• Responsible for the distribution and tracking of supper/snack as outlined by schools' specific protocols.
• Responsible for maintenance and upkeep of classroom and any program space used. Reports potential facility and/or equipment hazards to direct supervisor.
• Responsible for maintaining all program materials/equipment in good condition.
• Understands and effectively communicates safety standards of program; as it relates to ensuring program areas are safe, well-ventilated and well-lit.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends if necessary.
• Willing to travel off-site meetings, trainings and events.
• Participates as part of a team to run quality organization wide programs by helping out where needed or directs.
• To perform other duties as assigned.
Working/Driving Conditions:
• Travel between After-School All-Stars, Los Angeles school sites and various field trip sites as well as in the community is required.

Position Summary
The Community Outreach Assistant position is a part-time, temporary position that focuses primarily on presenting the Aim High program to prospective new students/families throughout the admissions season. The Community Outreach Assistant will be an integral part of a successful admissions season. Candidates who have attended Aim High as a student or taught in the program as well as candidates who identify as LBGTQ, Black, Indigenous, and/or people of color are strongly encouraged to apply.
Duties and Responsibilities (specific duties include but are not limited to):
Traveling to conduct Aim High presentations in-person at local middle schools to recruit students.
Organize information and send requests, updates, and messages to appropriate personnel and follow up in a timely manner.
Public facing interacts with prospective students, parents and families.
Provide minor technical support for students/families applying to Aim High.
General office support, including but not limited to: entering students forms and data, mailings, assembling recruitment materials, and preparing summer site materials.
