Position Overview:
Trace-A-Matic is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician II to join our skilled maintenance team. In this role, you'll actively contribute to maximizing facility uptime by performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and supporting continuous improvement across our manufacturing operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The following essential functions are the critical duties an employee must be able to perform either unaided or with the assistance of a reasonable accommodation
Actively participate as part of the maintenance team in the efforts to increase runtime of the entire facility by the following methods:
Support day to day production requirements to maintain machinery running and producing parts in constant supply.
Work Order execution and root cause analysis
Equipment improvement
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on all manufacturing equipment.
Perform and/or assist with weekly/monthly/annual preventative maintenance tasks.
Effectively communicate equipment malfunction and corrective actions to the oncoming shift and department supervisor.
Work in a safe manner to keep you and your team incident free.

Requirements
Skills and Competencies:
Documenting and creating work procedures
Use of calipers, depth gages and diagnostic tools to identify and resolve issues.
Mechanical Knowledge:
Blueprint reading
Welding
Torching fabrication
Gears and transmissions and belts.
Leveling and aligning lathes, horizontal machine centers and boring bars.
Installing new ballscrews and bearings
Advanced Fanuc and Mazatrol knowledge
Shaft alignment, lubrication technology and application
CNC Machining knowledge
Overhead cranes.
Electrical Knowledge:
Ladder Diagrams, electrical components such as relays and limit switches, basic wiring, motors, drives, and power supplies.
Electrical troubleshooting techniques and power distribution.
Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems:
Troubleshooting and component knowledge: blueprint reading, valves and pumps, cylinders and seals.
Qualifications: (Minimum & Preferred)
Education: Associate's degree in Industrial Maintenance Technology preferred.
Experience and/or Training: Requires a broad knowledge of mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance. 8+ year of experience in a variety of maintenance trades
Licenses/Certificates: Journeyman card holder preferred

What You'll Do:
In this role, you'll support the manufacturing of high-quality parts including precision machined components, injection mold tooling, plastic injection molded product, and more that serve industries like Aerospace, Defense, Automotive, Plastic Packaging, Battery, and beyond! You'll work in a clean, climate-controlled, well-equipped facility where your skill and attention to detail make a real impact.

* Strong programming skills - required
* Ability to read and interpret part prints and technical drawings
* Proficient in calculating dimensions and tolerances using mathematical skills and precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers
* Capable of machining precision parts from start to finish
A Day in the Life:
* Set up, program, and operate CNC Vertical and Horizontal Milling Centers
* Inspect and validate your own work using precision measuring equipment
* Complete short-run jobs with frequent changeovers and tool adjustments
* Keep work areas clean, safe, and organized
