**Intern Project Details**
The Learning and Development Coordinator Intern will support the Learning & Development (L&D) team in advancing training governance, evaluating training effectiveness, and establishing key performance metrics. This role is ideal for an undergraduate student with a strong interest in organizational development, instructional design, or HR analytics. The intern will gain hands-on experience in the end-to-end training lifecycle, from needs analysis to reporting, while contributing to high-impact projects that shape the employee learning experience.
This internship offers exposure to both strategic and operational aspects of L&D. The intern will assist in maintaining training records and materials, analyzing feedback and performance data, and supporting the design and development of training materials. The role also includes opportunities to collaborate cross-functionally, attend stakeholder meetings, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the L&D function.

Plans and directs the accounting and reporting of financial revenue transactions related to Holland America Line and Seabourn
Guided by functional strategy, creates impactful results for business partner functions, including Commercial, GEPD, ABG, and Tax.
Partners with the ELT to address critical issues and communicate accounting practices and policies.
Translates mid and long-term Controllership goals into operating objectives
Recommend changes in accounting, reporting, policies, procedures, controls and/or processes, to align with business need and fiscal goals.
Accounts and Budget Ownership
Oversee approximately $250 million of total revenue recognized each month and supports the monthly explanation of variances of actuals vs forecast.
Owns the Customer Deposit account, representing one of the most important accounts in the Balance sheet with approximately $1 billion in total balance and leads the quarterly variance explanations due to Corporate
Partner with cross-functional teams-including IT, Finance, and Operations-to align project budgets with strategic goals and ensure efficient resource allocation.
Collaborate with internal teams to identify opportunities for automation and efficiency, ensuring budgetary considerations are integrated into project planning.
Compliance and Security
Establishes, enforces, and ensures the adequacy of internal controls, policies and procedures for responsible areas and Brands.
Reviews and approves changes to accounting, reporting, processes and workflows, and policies and procedures, across clients which includes Brand initiatives.
Shipboard Finance Operations
Leads and oversees Fleet Managers onboard, responsible for supporting shipboard finance team members and all shipboard finance initiatives.
Lead system enhancements and project management of shipboard revenue accounting systems.
Team Leadership/Decision Making
Leads and develops accounting Managers and staff including building highly effective teams and improving the overall talent of the department.
Leads Managers and Staff by executing functional business plans and contributes to the development of functional strategy.
Provide accounting guidance to aide in the decisions made by Brands.

**Responsibilities**
+ **Data Collection and Analysis**
Provide analytical support for the shipboard teams associated to inventory accuracy, controls, and reporting.
Assist in the creation of SOPs, and process flows. Assist with reviewing/updating system entered data. Ensure the vessels record keeping and ordering process is completed accurately working in collaboration with shoreside Demand Planning and Supply Planning ensuring appropriate inventory levels are properly maintained to meet onboard demands. Assist with process flow and reporting documents. Assist in flagging critical spares for each vessel.
+ **Process Improvement**
Drive process improvements for data recording/collection methods and standardization of inventory processes. Assist in creating, maintaining, and provided continuous improvement plan for vessel Corrective Actions for data inaccuracies, inventory control gaps, and non-compliance issues.
+ **Collaboration**
Work closely with shoreside and shipboard Technical and Deck / Maritime Operations, collaborating with the Demand Planning, Inventory Control, and Procurement shoreside teams in both day-to-day reporting as well as longer term projects. **Responsibilities**
+ Support monthly Holland America Line and Seabourn capital committee process, including change control reviews (capital policy and business), presentation development and maintaining accurate data in the underlying capital management system.

**2026 Program Dates**
+ Program runs 10 weeks from June 15th - August 21st.
**Eligibility**

+ Obtaining an understanding of individual brand marketing/digital asset standards.
