Position Overview The Tunnel Machine Operator is responsible for using the PFAFF Tunnel Machine to sew soft shades according to work tickets. The role requires sewing experience, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions. Operators must work safely, handle materials, and keep their work area clean and organized. What you'll do Receive soft shades from Tunnel Preparation for processing. Read and interpret work tickets for special instructions, including shade type and custom requirements. Check the straightness and alignment of each soft shade before beginning sewing. Operate the Pfaff Tunnel Machine to sew soft shades according to specifications. Use tape measures and tools to ensure accuracy in measurements and placement. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, following all safety and housekeeping protocols. Report any equipment issues, material defects, or safety concerns to the supervisor promptly. Perform other duties as assigned to support production needs and workflow. Position Overview The Memory Stitch role involves hand-sewing each pleat with loop cord using a sewing needle, ensuring precision and quality in the finishing of drapery products. Key Responsibilities Electrical Maintenance & Installation * Perform electrical repairs, fabrication, and installation of machines and plant facilities * Maintain, service, and troubleshoot electrical components associated with production and facility equipment * Execute complex electrical tasks, including work on 480-volt systems * Read and interpret electrical ladder diagrams, electronic circuitry diagrams, and software programs to modify or improve equipment functionality * Plan and install electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures per job specifications, including conduit routing Preventive Maintenance & Equipment Oversight * Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for plant machinery * Conduct safety inspections on dryers and other critical systems * Secure all equipment and complete required documentation at the end of each shift * Demonstrate proficiency in repairing a wide variety of equipment Facility Systems Management * Maintain and troubleshoot plant lighting, air conditioning, boilers, internal fuse systems, and energy management systems Safety & Compliance * Proactively maintain a safe and clean work environment * Support and promote corporate and departmental safety goals and initiatives Qualifications * Minimum of 3 years of Industrial Electrician experience required * Master/Journeyman license strongly preferred but not required * Experience with PLCs (Siemens preferred) * Proficient in electrical diagnostics, including: * AC/DC drive circuitry * Motors and transformers * Control systems and power distribution * Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, electrical/electronic test equipment, and calibration equipment * Ability to work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install or repair electrical systems * Strong computer skills, including the use of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) * Ability to order parts and materials using the company's purchasing systems * Familiarity with the National Electrical Code and ability to apply cost-effective solutions that meet code and customer requirements * Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, under pressure, and meet tight deadlines * Flexible to work any shift and overtime as needed * Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with engineers, technicians, and peers Required Tools Candidates must supply and maintain a personal tool kit that includes the following: * Wire working pliers (Klein's, Cutting Pliers, Wire Strippers, Needle Nose Pliers) * 2 pairs of Channel Locks * Flat blade and Phillips head screwdrivers * Nut drivers * Voltage tester * High-quality voltmeter (e.g., Fluke) * Clamp-on amp meter * End wrenches * Socket set * Allen wrenches * Personal toolbox Work Schedule * 7:30 AM - 4 PM, Monday through Friday * On-Call hours may be required, including evenings and weekends as needed for emergencies. Position Overview Pleater 1 marks pleats on drapery panel at pleat marking table and punches holes for metal grommets. What you'll do * Pleat Marking Table * Remove drapery from rack carefully, and place on pleat marker table * Read work ticket for special instructions and sign work ticket * Check work ticket for width, special returns, and special instructions * Subtract returns and overlaps from widths of drapery, look in pleat mark book for reading and correct number of mark drapery, any drapery with more than 10 panels had to work out to correct number to mark drapery. * Spread drapery out on table, clamp down with holders on each side of drapery, set returns, adjust seams, and mark drapery for pleat with invisible chalk. Can only pleat 4 panels at a time, this is repeatedly done until all panels are marked according to work ticket. * Seam fold each drapery and place on finish rack by date card numbers on corresponding work ticket * Any defectiveness of drapery and any questions about drapery should be reported to supervisor, or placed on a hold rack in a designated area to be checked by supervisor * Drapery should be correct by pleat marker before releasing to the step for operation.
