Position Overview As a LicensedPracticalNurse at our Harvest Family Health Center in Elm City, NC, serves as a focal point of contact for patients and the pharmacy as they handle daily clinical duties and prescription refills as directed and within the scope of their training. This position reports to the Clinical Site Manager.
THIS POSITION OFFERS A 40-HOUR WORKWEEK, NO WEEKENDS, FULL BENEFITS PACKAGE, BI-ANNUAL BONUS, 12 PAID HOLIDAYS, BI-WEEKLY PAY.
Essential Tasks
Maintain absolute confidentiality in dealing with patient information.
Collect and record patient data, vital signs (TPR & BP, height and weight), patients' chief complaint, allergy history.
Prepare patients for examination; take medical history assist providers with patient care and treatment; assist providers with medical procedures.
Perform routing laboratory tests related to the examination and treatment of patients, or refer such patients to the laboratory. Follow established procedures for testing and tracking.
Maintain a clean and safe workstation (including lab) according to OSHA standards.
Perform screening tests and records results.
Stock exam rooms and keep instruments and equipment sterile and clean in clinical areas, as needed.
Administer medications and fluids as prescribed by provider and documents such as treatment in accordance with established procedures.
Document all pertinent data in the patient record, per established procedures.
Provide education and counseling to all patients appropriate to their level of understanding. Confirm patient comprehension before discharging patient from the medical area. Offer assistance with common medical questions on the telephone as appropriate. Record all patient interaction in the patient record per establish protocol.
Call pharmacy for prescription refills, as directed by the provider. Perform patient triage, as necessary, for appointments and walk-ins.
Has access to summary data with the clear understanding that access and reading is limited for treatment within the scope of their training and duties, reimbursement, or operations.
Perform other duties as assigned
Comply with all standards related to Customer Service
Adhere to CFHC, Inc. compliance program standards; including quality improvement, risk management, and standards of conduct.
Experience and Education
High school diploma or GED.
Graduate from an accredited program for LicensedPracticalNurse.
Current and unrestricted license to practice in North Carolina.
Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to deal with the public in a courteous and respectful manner.
Must be detailed oriented.
Schedule Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 8 am - 5 pm, 8-hour shift, day shift Thursday 11 am - 5 pm Physical Requirements
Individuals may need to sit or stand for long periods of time, occasional bending, stooping, lifting including of patients, reaching forwards and overhead.
Possibly requires walking primarily on a level service for periods throughout the day.
Both proper lifting techniques and frequent computer work are required.
Must be able to travel freely in the local area; between clinics, hospitals, health departments, etc.

The ICU at Duke Regional is comprised of 22 beds. Our team of nursing staff provides care for patients 14 years or older with actual or potential life-threatening conditions by performing complex assessments, high intensity therapies, interventions, and continuous monitoring. Affords the clinical experience to attain strong critical thinking skills, vast knowledge of disease processes and body systems, and robust care management skills. Position Overview

Essential Tasks
* Maintain absolute confidentiality in dealing with patient information.
* Collect and record patient data, vital signs (TPR & BP, height and weight), patients' chief complaint, allergy history.
* Prepare patients for examination; take medical history assist providers with patient care and treatment; assist providers with medical procedures.
* Perform routing laboratory tests related to the examination and treatment of patients, or refer such patients to the laboratory. Follow established procedures for testing and tracking.
* Maintain a clean and safe workstation (including lab) according to OSHA standards.
* Perform screening tests and records results.
* Stock exam rooms and keep instruments and equipment sterile and clean in clinical areas, as needed.

* Call pharmacy for prescription refills, as directed by the provider. Perform patient triage, as necessary, for appointments and walk-ins.
* Has access to summary data with the clear understanding that access and reading is limited for treatment within the scope of their training and duties, reimbursement, or operations.

* Comply with all standards related to Customer Service
