The Certified Nursing Aide spends the majority of time involved in direct patient care within the client's place of residence that may vary in the degree accessibility from one client to another. Physical demands include but are not limited to the ability to lift approximately 50 lbs. The CNA is responsible for dealing with a variety of patient disorders and family environments. The CNA accepts assignments based on availability and caseload. There is no guarantee of length of assignment or number of hours per week. Travel is necessary within a specified area. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Maintain certification with DFS. High school diploma or GED preferred. Possess effective communication skills to include ability to read, write and follow directions. Ability to perform physical tasks necessary to treat clients who may include lifting, bending and standing.
