General Summary: The Ready Mix Concrete Driver will drive a concrete mixer truck equipped with either a manual or automatic transmission, utilize his/her truck to properly mix the concrete and deliver concrete to assigned job sites. Experience operating specialized equipment including concrete mixer truck, roll off truck, sanitation trucks (garbage or recycle) or other top-heavy equipment is a plus. In the majority of tasks and projects assigned, the incumbent determines methods, work sequence, scheduling, and how to achieve objectives of assignments while operating within specific policy guidelines. Good judgment and common sense are required in all duties and any other task assigned. Normal workdays are Monday-Saturday. Hours are determined by customer need. If the customer requests additional water, either to exceed the specified slump or to maintain the slump for extended periods, written authorization must first be obtained on the appropriate line on the back of the ticket. Department: Interplant Hauling Employment Type: Full-Time, Hourly Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-5:00 PM (frequent overtime; weekends as needed) About the Role Sunrock is seeking a reliable Inter-Company Haul Truck Driver to transport aggregate and materials between Sunrock quarries and production facilities. This role primarily operates tractor-trailers or quad-axle dump trucks to maintain stockpiles and support plant operations, with occasional deliveries outside Sunrock facilities. This is a hands-on driving role with steady hours, frequent overtime, and minimal overnight travel.
