    Job Summary: Under the direction of the CT Supervisor, the CT Technologist operates CT equipment and cares for patients. All duties will be carried out in accordance with policies and procedures as established and approved by the Director of Imaging and the Radiology Management. Minimum Requirements: Graduate from a school of Radiologic Science and registered by the ARRT. All non-CT registered new hires must attain CT registry with the ARRT within the first year of hire. One year experience as a CT technologist preferred. Current AHA BLS certification required. Experience in scanning on GE is preferred. The CT technologist staff member must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his/her assigned unit. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide care needed as described in the department's Standard Operating Procedures manual.
