Responsibilities Design of water and wastewater treatment facilities Plans, schedules, and conducts engineering work on projects of small to medium sizes Responsible for budget, schedule and quality standards Has full technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating assignments Responsible for acting independently on technical matters pertaining to civil/environmental engineering field Carries out complex assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques or procedures to create new or refined equipment, material, processes or methods Assists in proposal preparation and interviews and may be included in contract negotiations with clients after selection Develops relationships with existing clients and has responsibility for client maintenance at staff level on existing projects Works closely with subconsultants on projects Active in professional associations, including attendance and participation in local, regional, and national conventions Travel required when requested Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering 10-15 years of wastewater design experience in the field of environmental consulting engineering with an emphasis in hydraulics, physical, chemical, and biological treatment processes and treatment plant design Registration as a Professional Engineer or ability to obtain upon employment Must have demonstrated experience with managing and designing medium sized projects with full responsibility for budget, schedule, contractual obligations and quality standards Experience designing wastewater treatment plants, including development of conceptual/preliminary designs and detailed design document preparation Ability to communicate effectively with clients and project team Deliver high quality services within budget and schedule constraints Experience working with wastewater collection systems and water and reclaimed water transmission/distribution projects Proficient in MS Word and Excel Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering Pay Range $100,000 to $150,000 annually. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs. About the Role MWH is currently seeking a qualified Safety Specialist to support critical water, wastewater, and advanced water treatment plant projects for both municipal and industrial clients. The position will be based onsite in the Austin, TX area. Core Responsibilities 1.Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment (60%) Conduct multiple site inspections throughout day to identify potential hazards and verify compliance. Document observations, incidents, photos, etc. in Procore. Ensure hazards are mitigated in timely manner. 2. Safety Planning (20%) Ensure safety protocols are integrated into daily activity planning and execution before work begins. Ensure safety documentation is uploaded daily to Procore for all subcontractors. Maintain SDS sheets for site. 3.Training (10%) Conduct site- safety orientation for subcontractors. Maintain training matrix for MWH employees on-site. 4. Incident Investigation (5%) Assist Safety Manager in investigating accidents, near-misses, and unsafe practices. Prepare reports and recommend corrective actions as directed by Safety Manager. 5. PPE Management (5%) Ensure proper use and availability of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Distribute PPE to internal employees as part of on-boarding process. Track and maintain PPE inventory. Basic Qualifications 4-year occupational safety/health degree (Degree in Safety. About the Role The Equipment Manager will play a vital role in supporting the efficient operation of the Equipment and Fleet departments with all companies associated with MWH. This role will be responsible for processing and coding invoices, managing fleet vehicle data, handling administrative tasks related to Fleet employees, and maintaining accurate records for billing, taxes, and equipment. Additionally, this role will provide support to all MWH s equipment shops with various administrative tasks. Key Responsibilities Equipment Management: Manage equipment across multiple locations in TX. Manage equipment between subs at multiple locations. Maintain equipment projections for job sites. Monitor and manage the maintenance and repair of equipment onsite. Manage small tools on all job sites. Invoice Management: Code and approve equipment and fleet-related invoices. Enter invoices into work orders in CMiC and ensure proper tracking. Assist shops with coding invoices and other administrative tasks as needed. Scan and attach packing slips to jobs and invoices to AP. Fleet Vehicle Tracking & Data Entry: Monitor and track the location of fleet vehicles, updating information as vehicles move from job to job. Add new vehicles to monthly import sheets and enter vehicle data in CMiC and HCSS. Administrative Support: Process expense reports for employees. Keep equipment location data current and accurate across projects. Billing and Cost Tracking: Maintain monthly billing folders for jobs, ensuring that all documentation is in order. Track and maintain a monthly spreadsheet of job billings versus job costs to monitor revenue. Requirements Experience with CMiC or similar construction management software. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Experience with fleet management and tracking software, such as HCSS, is a plus. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel for tracking job billings and costs. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in construction or fleet management. Class A CDL. Travel: This position is based in Austin but could require overnight visits to job sites and offices to support equipment or fleet operations. Basic Qualifications High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Prior experience working as a carpenter in a commercial, industrial, or facilities operations setting, including rough and finished carpentry. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must have a valid driver s license. Maintains a constant drive to achieve production outputs in order to meet targets. Responsibilities Performing civil engineering work in water and wastewater treatment facilities and conveyance infrastructure, focused on site design project components including site layout, yard piping, roadways, paving and grading, and stormwater infrastructure. Work on engineering planning and design projects and performs conceptual and preliminary design activities including site visits, overseeing fieldwork, alternatives analysis, and report preparation. Develop civil engineering plans and specifications. Prepare cost estimates for various water and wastewater projects. Prepares technical memoranda, reports, and electronic deliverables. Assist with coordinating sub-consultant work. Coordinate the work of other engineering disciplines, designers, modelers, technicians, and others who assist in specific assignments. Review contractor submittals for conformance with contract plans and specifications and evaluate requests for information as part of engineering services during construction. Participate in field activities such as pilot testing. Permitting and alternative analysis. Assists project managers with permitting submittals for treatment facilities and infrastructure projects including coordination with various governmental agencies. Participates in field activities and site reconnaissance. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering. 6 to 12 years of directly relevant experience in water and wastewater engineering for infrastructure projects. Registration as a Professional Engineer in the state of Texas. Application of engineering principles, including critical thinking, analysis, and innovative techniques. Strong verbal and written communication skills with clients and project teams. Work well in a team environment. Highly motivated, articulate, and self-starting. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering. Knowledge of project scheduling software. Active in professional associations. Pay Range An employee's pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
