Responsibilities
Inspects construction contracts related to water and wastewater facilities
Reviews contract plans and specifications for constructability, notes, errors, omissions and potential problem areas
Schedules, plans, coordinates, and completes site inspections
Coordinates construction-related system outages with client facilities
Prepares complete inspection reports and maintains a daily diary
Maintains complete project files including a project photo file
Keeps detailed records of construction progress, changed conditions, and as-built drawings
Prepares monthly estimates of quantity of construction completed
Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with contractors, consultants, and owners
Responsible for actions and performance of junior-level Construction Inspectors
Mentors and trains junior Construction Inspectors
Qualifications
In-depth knowledge of standard construction specifications, codes and special standards, methods, materials and equipment used in construction of water and wastewater facilities
Working knowledge of methods of soil compaction and density testing procedures, properties and uses of concrete, and techniques of handling, placing, curing and sampling concrete
In-depth understanding of OSHA Construction Safety Orders
Ability to keep neat, accurate, and concise records
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong computer and internet skills
In-depth understanding of earthwork
High school diploma or equivalent
2-8 years of responsible field inspection
Completion of OSHA 10-hour safety course and other construction training
Proficient in MS Word and Excel
Preferred Qualifications
Two year technical or associate degree in a related technical field

Pay Range
An employee's pay will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.

The Construction Manager will be responsible for leading projects through construction phases. Project types could include water transmission pipelines, water pump stations, wastewater collection systems, wastewater pump stations, water / wastewater treatment facilities and related infrastructure. Skillset shall include coordinating and communicating with the EOR, sub-consultants, utility owners, contractor and other stakeholders performing office and field services during construction. They will also be expected to direct staff and perform client management activities to support our Water/Wastewater team.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Prepare and distribute weekly and monthly progress reports
+ Prepare and review documentation for disputes, such as RFI responses, change order development, and issues or claim
+ Successfully assist owner managing and delivering projects on time and on budget
+ Utilize internal Project Management Information Systems. Procore experience preferred
+ Present findings to clients and design team through effective oral and written communication
+ Communicate effectively and coordinate with EOR, Contractor and clients through frequent interactions
+ Attend, and lead when appropriate, monthly progress meetings and preconstruction meetings with the owner, contractor, and engineering design team
+ Lead and manage construction administration phases of projects for owner including schedule and submittal reviews, requests for information, correspondence, change requests, pay application processing, for ongoing construction projects
+ Coordinate and manage staffing efforts for field and field office staff Take technical and management responsibility of tasks and delegate effectively to junior staff
